Sick For 2 Years No Answers!!!! Please Help. Posted: 11-17-04 06:54am
I have been having strange medical
symptoms that come and go for 2 years.
Lately (the last 5 months) they have
seemed to gotten much worse and with more
frequency. The symptoms are flu like ,
but with no fever, very sore joints and
muscles, headaches, neck ache, sore feet
and hands, just general all over
tiredness, but when I go to the Dr. He
puts it to stress or anxiety. The tests
come back normal. Finally sending me to a
rheumatist, but may take longer to find
out. Does this sound like rh arthritis.
Thank you.

Sorry to hear of your search for a dx.
I'm not a doctor but it sounds like you
have a systemic disorder which could
include many odd sounding diseases. May I
suggest you go see a rheumy. There are
many that can be excluded by a simple
blood test.
I myself, have anklylosing spondilitis
which presented with uveitis, headaches
and tired, tired, tired. When I was dxed
I thought they were crazy. However i've
learned to accept it and have since had
back, neck, wrist, elbow, shoulder ect.
Pain. This is basically a spine disease
but the arthritis travels the whole
body.
Wish you luck in your search.

Long ago I suffered from the same symptoms
as your. My family doctor asked for
different checks, after many checks I was
diagnosed with systematic lupus that
caused joints sore, neck, back pain. Also
thyroid caused these broblems . You feel
tiredness and fatigue. Your doctor is the
one who can decide what you are going
through, and what caused that pain.
My heart is with you

I have had the same symptoms as you are
describing for the past 4 weeks. It
started out as really stiff joints and
muscles, than muscle spasms now fatigue.
At times I hardly feel like I can move.
Im not depressed or have any stress. The
dr just sent me to have a test for lyme
disease and I will find out next week the
results. I feel your frustration. For
most of the day today I have not felt to
bad. But right now i'm starting to feel
body aches and tiredness. Iv been to
physical therapy with no relief and am
going to a reumotologist next week. Let
me know if this helps at all. I will let
you know the results of my test.

You probably have lyme disease, I have had
it since thanksgiving, I had 2 negative
tests, one in march , one in may, a new
doctor (alternative) and a new lab found a
positive lyme..........It is a mysterious
little micro-organism that regular doctors
do not know much about, you must find
specialists, the lab my original
negative tests came from I was told by an
expert lyme guy does not even test for all
strands of the
bacteria.........................I am
bitter, I was sick for far too long and
told I was nuts. Check out lymenet.Org
and read up on Dr. Burrascano and his
latest research............
