My wound is healing great - 10 days ago I
had a wound liner with silver in it and 4
stips of seasorb packing, now all they can
fit in there is the silver lining (every
cloud...) and wait for it only 1 and 2/3
of seasorb packing that is 2 and 1/3 less
strips in 10 days and I got the results of
my last wound swab (taken tuesday lunch) -
no cultures grew at all!
I asked today how long to refrain from sex
and was told so long as I go steady and
careful and stop if I feel pain then I can
go ahead and I have an appt with my
consultant tomorrow to discuss going back
to work in 3 1/2 weeks - my manager is
only too happy to make arrangements for me
to sit, walk, even just input data on the
computer if need be, for me to do 2,4 or 6
hours (6 being my usual) and to do 2 - 5
days depending on how I feel - it's my
choice they will just be glad to have me
back, so long as my doc clears me. 3 1/2
weeks from now will put me 6 1/2 weeks
post op.
I feel on top of the world and every day
is getting better.
And as I have finished my anti-biotics, I
had a small bottle of beer (ok cheapo
french lager)
