I have recently been diagnosed with a extreme yeast infection. I have been given nystatin. I am halfway though my medicaion (5 days) and now I am having severe pain in my ovary region. Is this a reaction to the medication, part of the yeast infection or a new infection all together? Please help. I have already been to the doctor twice and still hurting. I was tested and no stds.

Wow- I would say check with the Dr. Again. Could be any of the things you mentioned. Did you get a sheet with side effects on the medication? It could just be something simple like that, or it could be another infection. You better get it checked out. Goodluck.
