Has anyone been recently diagnosed with
parkinson's disease that is directly
related to welding fumes or working around
toxic material?

I did not receive any response to my
posting. My husband has been a welder on
construction for more than 30 years. He
has also been exposed over the years to
many toxic materials. He is suffering
from many health problems we feel are
symptomatic of parkinson's disease. We
have seen ads on television from lawyers
suggesting the connection, but so far
doctors have not seemed to be aware of any
connection.
My father had parkinson's disease when he
died and also welded for many years.
Do you have a similar problem?

My father has been hospitalized for approx
4 weeks due to an injury following a fall.
He had experienced symptoms that
resemble parkinson's prior to the fall,
but there was no diagnosis at the time.
Now that he is in the hospital, they are
looking at parkinson's as a likely
diagnosis, however there is some question
as to whether his welding career and
exposure to toxic substances would better
account for his symptoms. We are still
waiting to see what they determine, but it
seems that treatment options would change
depending on this fact. He has been a
welder his entire life, so I am looking to
find any information on this connection.
Have you found any articles that would
better explain this connection? The
neurologist does think it would make a
great difference if toxic exposure is the
cause. Do you have a good relationship
with a neurologist and has he/she provided
you with any information on this
connection between welding and development
of parkinson's. Please respond when you
get the chance.

We do not have any articles suggesting or
verifying a connection between welding and
parkinson disease. The first time I was
aware of welding as a cause was when a
commercial ran on television in our area.
It was stating to call a certain lawyer
if you were experiencing any
parkinson-like symptoms. I am sorry to
hear of your father's fall. My husband
also suffered fall that led to two back
surgeries. Since then he has also
experienced confusion on occasion and
tremors. We have an appointment on nov 1
with a neurologist. I will let you know
the findings. I hope you will do the
same. Isn't it amazing that the lawyers
are aware of an illness before some of the
doctors? We live in in. Good luck to
your father.

as one who has parkinsons I doubt very
much that welding or toxic fumes has any
bearing on parkinsons. I served in the
forces and on leaving spent my life
working as a continental heavy goods veh
driver and the only thing that could be
classed as toxic in my case was the diesel
I put in my lorry. I believe the cause is
a genetic one and will not reveal its
secrets to mankind yet. People tend to
forget that parkinsons affects different
people with differant symptoms to start
with, though the most common is the
nervous shakes one gets in your hands
and?Or legs

I have a good news for all people who has
parkinsons. There is a new product
called "cellgen". Many people tried it
and got better. So I introduced it to
one of my family's friend having
parkinson, he eats it for 2 months and he
fells much better.
So far cellgen is the only product that
can penetrate our blood brain barrier and
rejuvenate the mitochondrian of our brain
cells.
