who is to tell a lady who
just had her baby taken from her womb, by
choice or not, that it can't cause her to
have depression or to have a nervous
breakdown? People do things a lot less
severe and suffer from depression because
of it, and if someone like this girl had
an abortion just because someone else told
her it was the right thing to do and then
later regretted it, then I do believe that
could cause depression.
My best friend is puerto rican and she has
an aunt that had several abortions earlier
in life, she is now deceased from a severe
illness and on her deathbed they had to
bring her baby dolls to hold, she kept
saying she was being haunted by her unborn
babies.
Just wanted to share
that
hey momma. I just wanted to tell you I
shared a similar story and it was deleted.
Me and some girls were going back and
forth about the same thing. Some was
deleted and some wasn't. I don't know
why all of it wasn't deleted, but I don't
think they want us talking about abortion
or something. Even if it's just an
experience you had. So, this will
probably get deleted.

where did we get off track
and make this an abortion debate?
Lol
i haven't seen any
"debate," but the tread specifically deals
with abortion. That is a subject rife
with misconceptions and outside sources
relying more on politics than accuracy.
As such, I feel that it is important that
the information offered is accurate rather
than political.
The studies are clear regarding emotional
health following abortions. The main
one is major et al. It should be
available through inter-library loans or
at your closest medical school. The
reference is:
major b et al. (2000). "psychological
responses of women after first-trimester
abortion. Archives of general psychiatry,
57, 777-784.
Another study specifically looked at race
and religion, trying to see if, f.Ex.
Being a catholic or fundamentalist
protestant mattered in mental health
outcomes following abortions. That study
also found no direct complications:
russo nf et al. (1997). The relationship
of abortion to well-being: do race and
religion make a difference? Professional
psychology: research and practice, 28,
23-31.
But yes, no doubt some people are having
problems after an abortion. But the
predominant feeling is that of relief.
Nobody likes to have an abortion, but most
would be much worse off if they were
denied that abortion. How one feels
about that depends very much on the
individual, and the best advice I can give
is to talk with people you trust about
this issue.

Hey babe first off all I have to say is
what do you want nt him you! Abortions
are very controversal but I dont know if
you wanna bring it up on a pregnancy forum
without having the intention of maybe
getting reemed by a few ppl... Its your
person choice and how you think you could
raise the baby safe and secure. How old
are you? Do you have a good job? Place
to live? Is this guy a part of your life
even if your not together? Could you go
thru a pregnancy and think about
adoption?
Think about what you want and what is best
for you and your child!
