Are These Migraines? Or Is It Something Worse? Posted: 11-25-04 12:59pm
Thanks for taking the time to read my
post.
I get these terrible pains above my right
eye, in the sinus, and even behind the
eye. Light makes me cringe with pain when
this happens, and as soon as a loud sound
hits, my entire head is throbbing.
Last night in particular, I was having the
pain behind my eye. Then our parrot,
mocha, decided to start screaming my name.
Boom. Head pain. I decided to go to bed
early, which is rare for me, so at about
9:00 I went in my room. I let my ferret
out to play, and the bell on her colour
pounded sound into my ears. I tried to
listen to my music, that resulted in me
almost vomitting from the pain in my
head.
I laid in my bed, and the glow-in-the-dark
frogs I have on my walls and fan even hurt
my eyes. I couldn't look at my
glow-in-the-dark clock or my regular
red-light digital clock. I had to take
something for the nausea, and put a cool
damp cloth over my eyes.
I still have a small headache this
morning... Are these migraines?
Thanks a ton, I really would appreciate
all the advice I can get.

I am not a doc, just a mom who has
migraines and 2 teens who have them.....
Sure sounds like a migraine to me! Sorry
it sounds really awful! I also have lots
of sinus problems and mine can start with
that pain in the sinus area, too.
The light and noise making things worse,
almost like they are magnified, as well as
one sided pain seem pretty typical for
migraine. Hope you can find something to
help!

Thank you so much, maybe now I can
convince my mom to take me to a doctor
about them, they're real annoying!

Chelidonium, sang can are a couple of
excellent homeopathic medicines good to
get rid of the migraine attacks which
start on the right side of the head and
spread to whole of the head.
