Im 19 years old and just had a baby. I
know the babies barf, and all that good
stuff, but that wouldn't change my mind
about having her. Just because im 19
doesn't mean I can't have or do the things
you have. I have a man also who is
awesome and treats me like a princess, I
own two cars, and I have my own place. I
just thought i'd point out that there are
good teenage mothers, and bad, just like
there are good older mothers, as well as
bad.

Kourtney-of course there are good teenage
mothers! Most of them are! I was just
saying, a lot of teenagers do not have
what you have, such as two cars, a really
nice place to live, and better yet, an
awesome boyfriend. My point was, for
those who are trying to get pregnant,
without all of the essentails you have, is
unfair for the child.

Well im 17 and while the school year was
goin on last year, I hated it but I went
everyday and waddled my ass down those
hallways. I went the whole school year
and then this school year I went to a
technical college to get my hsed. Thats a
high school equivalency diploma, and im
already done with my senior year, I
started goin to the tech when my daughter
was a month old and now she is 3 months
and im all done with school. I love her
dearly and I have a great man also, we own
two cars and we are gettin our own
apartment as soon as we pay off his mom.
I wouldnt ever regret having a child this
young. Yea it sucks at times because u
dont have friends but its ok, because u
get to see her smile and laugh and play.
I love mackenzie sooo much, she is my
world. And friends dont matter to me
anymore(from high school). Thats my
story, and we were careless on using
condoms and I stopped takin my b/c because
I kept takin it at different times and it
wasnt bein effective.

Everyone says they will finish school but
some find it very hard. I'm very lucky I
graduated right before I had
danica.Because now, I wouldnt want to go
to school. I'm still going to college but
i've even had second thoughts about
that... I dont regret danica but there
are some things I have missed due to
having her. I didn't get to go to my own
prom, my grad gown didn't fit because of
my belly, I missed my 18th b-day (since in
canada 18 is legal age) and I missed my
safe grad. I don't regret danica but I
would have loved to experience those
things. Plan once you've lived you life
to your needs, and have a good
relationship and stable financial
security. Of course u can make it without
these, but it would be a lot harder.
After having danica and having tim be
there to love me and help me, I give a
whole lot of respect to those single
mothers who can do it on their own.

Babyrae-i like your post, I think most
girls in your situation feel the same.
And yes, try doing that all alone! I give
a lot of credit to those who do too! I
hear ya about the college thing. I have
5 semesters behind me, but this semester
has been horrible because I havent been
focused. And then I will have to go back
when the baby is born, which I think will
be the hardest thing for me to do. I
probably wont want to, but I know I have
to. Noodle-like I was saying before, not
most teenagers have all the essentials,
like 2 cars, and such. There are a few
lucky teenagers who have 2 cars, a nice
place to live, and a wonderful boyfriend
all at once.

True. I agree with you about that, im
like shauna on most those things, I dont
get to go to prom, my graduation(my
diploma gets mailed to me), or any parties
or to celebrate my 18th bday with a big
party. I dont regret mackenzie at all I
love her way to much but I wish I could
experience some more things but I love
mackenzie way to much so I dont regret
anything. Just wish I had more time

I don't have a kid and I didn't have any
big party for my 18th bday.. I stopped
having parties around 12-13 I think..
Anyway.. Lilblaze.. Not trying to be
rude at all and I mean no offense but you
did get pregnant at 16, it just didn't
succeed so you didn't actually wait.

Yah.. Things like that is hard. U think
u'll go back to school but sometimes u
just cant. And you miss a lot of
important things in life. its sad sometimes
but I do love my daughter.. But if u get
the chance to live it and enjoy it, why
give that up!

Yea I know! I already love my daughter
soooo much, that is why I want to give her
the best, so I want to go to school. I
didt want to take classes this next
semester because im having a kid halfway
thru, but my dad talked me into taking at
least one class, probably online, so that
I can stay in the school scheme. He
thinks it will be a lot easier for me to
add more classes to my schedule, then to
not go at all an start with a full load
again. I guess I agree....

You're so right sarah, it is extremly
selfish to have a baby when you know you
can't take care of it. I thought you
meant something else.

I did want a baby, but then finally I came
to a much needed realization that its not
what I want or need. I sugar coated the
thought of mother hood for myself. Even
if I could handle it, I wouldnt want to
yet.. My life is too fun
