I'm not sure what to expect from this
forum but here goes. My mother has been
having health problems ever since her
hysterectomy. She has been diagnosed
with diabetes type i, pancreatitus, ibs
and most recently she has acquired painful
arthritus. She has undergone 3
colonoscopies, 2 catscans and even an mri.
So far, the health care providers in
ontario have removed a perfectly healthy
gall bladder and reopened a bioduct. She
has abdominal pain most days, and has
chronic gas. She also has profuse anal
bleeding (we're talking bowlfuls) that
they haven't been able to diagnose.
Everytime she has a "pancreatitus" episode
they put her on a iv, give her pain
killers and send her home again after a
few days. Last week, her anal bleeding
and ab pain were very bad and she was very
pale. When she went to the hospital her
white blood cells were critically low so
that she required a transfusion. No one
can tell her what exactly is wrong and how
to treat "it". She takes painkillers for
the arthritus, hormone replacement therapy
pills, beta blockers for an irregular
heartbeat, insulin shots for diabetes, and
I worry that the meds are causing some of
these problems. Any insight or advice
would be greatly appreciated.
