Am I Pregnant?

Ok about a month ago (oct. 31) I had
protected sex. (we used a condom) two
weeks later I started feeling nauseous. I
thought it was just the flu because it was
too early to have morning sickness. Well
its been two weeks and i'm still nauseous
from time to time. My period was due 8
days ago and even though i'm not always
regular for the past couple months its
come around the 21st, except this month.
I've taken 2 hpt and both have been
negative. But besides being nauseous my
breasts have been tender and i've had
light cramping the last few days. Could I
be pregnant even though the tests came out
negative?

gyno appt

Your period could be on it's way or you
could have taken the test too early to
show up positive. You could either wait
a few more days and then take another
test, or go to the Dr. For a blood test!

Yes, it could either be later than normal
period or pregnancy. If you took the
test after you were late it should have
shown. Some women don't show pregnancy
in urine tests, and have to go for blood
tests. Either wait another week and see
if you get your period, or go to your
gyno. Depends on how much patience you
have.

R u normally irregular? I am 28 days
like clockwork, so if it was me 8 days
late, i'd go get a blood test. Good
luck!

I've never really been on time, but for
the last few months if I am late its only
by a couple days, not this long. I've
also noticed that my stomach is sometimes
too sore to even touch lightly... Does
this mean anything?

No, your stomach wouldn't really be
bothering you right now. Not to the
touch at least. Early pregnancy signs
are being tired, sore breasts, and nasea.
There are more, but sore stomach isn't
one to my knowledge.

If your stomach is sore to the touch that
could be something more serious! I
suggest you go to the doctor.

I know I should go to the doctor, the
problem with that is my doctor isn't on
call until mid-december again and the
other ones aren't taking new paitents.
Unless I go to walk in but theres also so
many people there and i'm not a very
patient person. Either way with a postive
or negative on the test I guess i'll have
to end up going. I'm thinking of taking
another hpt test friday, by then I will
almost be 2 weeks late. Maybe I tested
too early before so 2 weeks should be long
enough to test right?

Two weeks should definitely be long
enough. But, some women need a blood
test, because their pregnancy doesn't show
up on a urine test.

Thats what people keep telling me. I
cringe at the thought of having to get a
blood test done, i'm terrified of needles,
i'm such a baby. (although I can get
tattoos and they dont bother me) but like
my mother so annoyling pointed out, if I
cant handle just getting a simple blood
test done how do I ever expect to have a
baby.

Yeah, that's true. You will have your
blood taken once or twice during pregnancy
anyway to see how you and baby are doing.
And then iv's during labor and maybe an
epidural. sorry, tmi.
My friend hates needles and she has three
babies. I don't think that would stop
you.

Going to Try One More Time

Okay, I think i'm going to retest again on
friday. The last two times I used first
repsonse and it says you can test any time
of the day.. Does it really make that
much of a difference if you test in the
morning? Cause I never did with either of
them. Also the test I bought before was
way less then the other ones of the same
name brand, i'm thinking maybe it was over
or close to its exp. Date. I couldnt'
find one on the box. Maybe this is why I
got the negative readings.

The first morning urine is much more
consentrated (sp) so it seems to be much
more accurate. But u can use the tests at
any time.

hope this doesn;t come across the wrong
way.... But it seems like you must be
pretty patient, to me anyway, if you are
willing to wait to go to the dr in mid
december... Why not do a walk in and get
it over with?
