Im am 18 and have been on birthcontrol for
almost a year. I am a week late on my
period but I took 6 pregancy tests and
they all came out negative. I have not
been taking my pills at the same time
every day this month. Could I be pregant
or is my cylce messed up because of the
pill.

Hi ladies, thank you for your caring
answers! I really needed that extra push
to call my doctor. I talked to a nurse at
my doctors office and she assured me that
I am not pregant if I had negative
pregancy tests. I may have missed my
period because I have been stressed out or
because of the pill. She said this
happens to everyone on the pill once in
awhile and I should not worry. I also
talked to a women at "planned parenthood",
a clinic near my home. She told me the
same thing but to take a test next week to
be sure.
As for the birth control. I found out
that it is important to take the pill at
the same time everyday in order to have
predicable periods but if you dont take it
at the same time every day it should not
alter its effectiveness.
