I Have Hiv Symptoms...but I Tested Negative... Posted: 12-04-04 08:11am
I have hiv symptoms...But I test
negative...Can I still be hiv positive
since the antibodies havnt been produced?
For about a month now I have been having
loose stools. This happened when I let
my boyfriend (now ex) finger me with 3 (or
maybe 4 fingers)...He used a condom but
its still odd. I sucked his penis and I
noticed some pre cum in my mouth so I
spitted it out. And I kept spitting til
my mouth was dry...Lol
like 2 weeks after then I had sex with
this dude named mike. I used a condom
during intercorse. I also have a tongue
ring. And I could feel a little small
cut around that area but I didnt pay it
any attention...No blood @ all...Just a
small cut I sucked his penis and I felt
pre cum so I spitted it out and I didnt
suck it any longer.
I started getting headaches because I was
worried cuz I still have these loose
bowels. Ever since I been worried my
lymph nodes in my neck and armits have
been tender...The one in my right armpit
has been feeling okay now but it has kinda
harden up. But the doctor says its from
me eating too much fast food. Depending
on what I eat its normal.
I also have tons of gas. Im not sure
what its from. But I have loose bowels
and gas. I did some research and I think
its ibs. But im not sure.
I only had unprotected oral sex. I got
tested 2 weeks after that. And then 2
weeks after then lol. Im negative. The
reason why I got tested back to back
because what I have read online says it
usually takes only 25 days for antibodies
to be produced. But...It could take
longer...
Now I have had a small cough like every
now and then but when I clear my throat it
seems to go away. Its very small. Im
not sure if its from the weather switching
over.
My question is...Can you be hiv positive
with no antibodies and still have the
symptoms? Or does the antibodies cause
these symptoms?

My advice would probably be to stop giving
oral for a few months. It takes a few
months for the antibodies to be present.
I would wait maybe 4-5 months and go get
tested. Only then can you truely be sure.

My Answer: Yes You Can. Posted: 12-30-04 03:02am
It can take 3 to 6 months to test positive
for hiv, during which time u may be
experiencing these symptoms. I am in the
same boat: feeling these symptoms and not
knowing wether im postive or negative.
Enough to drive a man insane!
Are my symptoms like yours?
Week 3: night sweats (for 2 days, very
very mild)
loose stools
hardening of the little
lympnodes on the sides of my neck (bean
shaped ones)
week 4 (this week): hardcore headaches,
wierd
chickpox (but not itchy) type rash (4
bumps)

Oh One More Thing. Posted: 12-30-04 03:04am
One more thing. I dont mean to sound
negative and im sure you are already aware
of this but you, being homosexual and very
sexually active, makes you 'more at risk'.
This guilt u may be experiencing might go
away if u stop having risky encounters.
Find a partner, get tested together, wait
3 months, and then be guilt-free and
happy>
