I have chronically infected lingual
tonsils. (located behind the base of the
tongue) after every round of augmentin,
the infection flares back up. I've had
allergy testing, ct scans and been treated
for thrush. To say that I have a sore
throat is a huge understatement. It is
horrible. The ent talks of having my
lingual tonsils removed. Has anyone else
had this surgery? My family doctor said
not to have this surgery, but he isn't
living with my sore throat!

Hello, my 16 year old daughter has very
inlarged lingual tonsils, we are told we
need to have them removed. She will have
them removed on july 15, 2005. This is a
very rare infection,i would like to know
