Q: Took Morning After Pill But Now 2 Weeks Late

Hi,

my girlfriend and I had sex 2 days after she'd finished her period, but had an accident with a condom (came off inside her), so the very next day she took the morning after pill (levonelle). She then had some bleeding a few days later.

Her cycle is usually about 30 days, but she started her last period on 8th september, so she's quite late now.

We've done two pregnancy tests (clearblue), more than a week after she was late (a number of days apart) , both came out negative, quite faint but definatly no cross.

Now she is so stressed and worried about being pregnant that I think this might actually be causing her to be this late! The doctor said she might have irritable bowel syndrome as well, as she's been feeling ok in the mornings, but stomach pains after she's eaten.

The doctor was very unsympathetic and just told her to wait longer and do another test (wait longer!) - so we are going to do another one this evening (the clearblue says its so sensitive that it doesn't need to be done in the morning and it will be 2 weeks since she should have started).

If this one's negative what do we do?? There could be something else causing this, but what do people think about the risk of being pregnant? The condom was spermicidally lubricated by the way.

Thanks.

My friend just told me that worrying about being pregnant and thinking you are prolongs from your period from coming because mentally you persuade your body ... So please help her to be less stressed! You being stressed doesn't help out.. And by what you have described, it doesnt sound likely that she is.

Extremely eHealthy
Get a Blood Test,
I'm not sure y ur doctor didn't offer this. At home tests can be inaccurate due to low hormone levels along with using them wrong. She may be preg.
