Are These Symptoms of Anxiety? Posted: 12-09-04 12:43pm
Hi, i'm new and stuff.
About 6 weeks ago I started getting a
tremor in all my limbs. It's very slight
but visible. I even have jumping words
when I read, because my vision is
trembling at the same rate my limbs are.
When I put my teeth together, they chatter
a bit. I even have it during my sleep, as
when i've woken up at night, i'm still
trembling.
Other symptoms include a permanently stiff
neck and occassinal days of frequent
urination or at least having the desire to
urinate even if nothing comes out.
I also don't feel as sharp as I was, and
just basically feel below par.
Now, the gp did a blood test for liver,
kidney, thyroid and diabetes stuff - it
all came back clear as did the urine
test.
I have been depressed & anxious too,
although the anxiety seemed to start after
I developed these symptoms.
My dr decided to put me on beta blockers
for the tremor and gave me some
anti-depressents. He also made an
appointment for a ct scan "just to ease my
worries"
i got so anxious and depressed, I decided
to go visit a friend and stayed with her
for 2 weeks, missing all my hospital
appintments and not taking medication.
God, this is such a boring post - i'm
bored of it
someone tell me what's wrong with me. I
will start the anti-tremor beta blockers
tomorrow and see if they help.

Hi.
Because I missed my appointments, the
hospital sent me a "shame on you, we're
telling your dr" letter.
So I have to grovel a bit to get my
appointement for a scan
i also forgot to mention my muscle
twitching. Usually in my arms &
legs.
And I have slight vertigo too, even if I
sit/lie down.
I will have the scan, but a ct doesn't
check for things like parkinsons or ms -
does it?

go and see a psychologist about your

Taking anti depressents in long term
damages certain parts of your body system.
 read it in the bk smore in my
psychiatrist's office. Anyway, isnt it
better to conduct life without medication?
:?:
i guess, during the early stages of panic
attacks, it hard to so call "control" ur
emotions and feelings. Thats when
medication comes in to aid you control
them.
I am suffering from panic attack myself
previously and I used to believe in taking
camomile and stuff would help to curb my
attacks. Unfortunately, a visit to my
psychiatrist tells me otherwise.
Therefore, during the beginning stages of
a panic attack, the medication and support
from family and friends are v important.
It is impossible to achieve a stressless
life but its the knowledge of knowing how
to cope with the same.
Now, I m off to 1/2 of my normal
medication and I feel well. Patience is
required for the road to recovery. For
some people, their religion might be of
aid to them too. :)

Try yoga or brisk walking or some type of
relaxing exercises. Breathing exercises
is good too.
