Who said that " you are what is wrong with the world today?"?

For the fact of knowing my sister and I was raised by my mother alone, my father never was around and when he did decide to pick us up from our mothers we would go to his freinds house where he would get drunk, when I was older and got on his nerves he'd hit me, he would not watch us, he didnt care we were just trophies for him to show off, now he is a changed man and I forgive him there is no hate there. People make mistakes!!!!!!!!!!!!! And as for as hating other poeple for things theyve done I dont hate the person I dislike the sin or their wrong doing.......Single women whom get pregnant on accident and keep their child are women who realize what they have got there selves into and step to the plate and except responsibility, I feel that abortion is just a way for women to get out of not owning up to their mistakes or actions,

Women, single, married, whatever, who get pregnant whether accidentally or on purpose, and realise that they cannot carry on with the pregnancy for whatever reason, and decide to abort, are take a very responsible decision, rather than allowing the birth of a child who will suffer, or whose birth may cause suffering to other family members.

Doctors, parents, single, married, whatever, who kill there children and there elderly parents make a responsible decision, rather than allowing there situation to make a child suffer a certain degree of poverty, or whose age may cause suffering to other family members.

There are other options other than abortion.....You can get help from medicaid which will provide you with some help, child support from the dad, im sure youll will have support from your family it may not seem like you will but beleive it or not more people will help you than what you think

im never said that single mother should have support as long as they dont do it again im saying that should having support and encouraged and helped to avoid getting pregnant again

i m not judging you I myself had premartial sex before I married my husband, I just got lucky and didnt get pregnant then, but if I would have abortion would not have been an option because I put my self in that situation so I face the consquences if I did get pregnant and raise my child to the best of my obility........

A lot of people whom have abortions realize after the fact there was other obtions and reget it for the rest of their lives

See, izzy, your post is what i'm talking about. I was not sexually promiscuous as promiscuity means that i've slept with many people at once. Considering the father is a man i've known for 12 years and that I slept with only him in the past year kind of tells you that i'm not promiscuous.

And the immorality thing...Well, I don't think what I did was immoral because I personally don't think sex outside of marriage is immoral. No matter what you or the current government may think, most "morality" is still subjective.

And no, I don't think the "unborn" are people mainly because they aren't people legally. I never said the "unborn" weren't human. As long as it's in a human it's a human.

I was not decieved. Yeah, I had sex for fun and got pregnant. So? I'm well above the age of legal consent as was the man I had sex. I don't see the pregnancy as a punishment because I want the fetus. And all you prolifers condescend to "commend" me for "accepting responsibility for my actions". Well, had I aborted, I would have been accepting responsibility just as much as I have since I kept the pregnancy. You see, I don't see children as a punishment for sex outside of marriage.

But go ahead and believe I was "immoral" and "deceived". I am quite happy with the choices I have made and no one can make me feel bad for them.

moira how old are you if you have to curse to hold a coversation?

that is the first and only time I have cursed (if you can call a pre-watershed word that is freely used in the uk - I could say it to a priest for example)on this board, and I didn't use it as an insult to anyone here. I used it in support.

How old are you if you have to pick on the pc that curses once and not mention it to any pls? Sad.

i know a few, but my personal experience is irrelevant. Various independent studies have proved that most women do not regret aborting.

cphil, are you ignorant, stupid or just narrow minded? Whatever posts you get will prove nothing as they're not representative of everyone who aborts. Independent research has proven that the vast majority of women do not regret aborting and suffer no long term psychological effects.

no, but you are insulting. We all are at times.

if you're going to apply a few people whose info can't be verified to the entire population then yes, that is truly ignorant. If you recognise that this poll is essentially meaningless, then no that's not ignorant.

cphil wrote:

i know some people do, but I know the vast majority don't. You *want* people to feel bad to fit in with your moral view but i'm afraid that just isn't true.

cphil wrote:

because a poll on an internet forum is not how to accurately guage these things. Which bit don't you understand?

cphil, look up the apa and see what they say. Or are you afraid that might actually make you look bad?

i have not insulted anyone in any site post or room,

i think you have a hard time dealing with people opinions whom dont fit your

i dont have to make them fit mine because my beliefs, opinions, and values are differnet than other and you nor anyone else on this earth can change them, they are mine yours are yours

and fyi: if people who answer that post iare not telling the truth it is not my place to judge them if the arel ieing or giving a true experience, I can only take them a face value

you have frequently been insulting,as we all are from time to time.

my what? I perfectly respect somebody's right to be pro-life - I don't respect it when they try to force that on others. I "deal with it" fine. In respect to this, your opinion is disproven by many psychological studies.

cphil wrote:

stop trying to then. Admit that most women don't regret aborting.

cphil wrote:

and you can't enforce them on others, including your belief that a zef is a child.

I have not insulted anyone by name calling, downgrading, slander, or anything and if you can prove that I did I will appoligize to them, not you

i thought a debate is where you shared you opinions, I share mine to you and you say im forcing them on you. No im just telling you how I feel the same way you are

i could say you are forcing me to think that it is okay to abort because you disagree with me but im not im saying your opinion is your mine is mine,

to be given or told an opinion or belief does not mean that you have to change your mind it just means that you are open to listen to why I think so,......Funny how that if forcing you

If you want abortion illegal, then you're forcing it on others.

actually, I was kind of insulted when you called me "sweetheart" because 1-it's really condescending, and 2- you're 3 years younger than I am.
