Feel Silly For Asking But ..... Posted: 12-09-04 15:03pm
I feel silly even asking this but am v.
Worried. Lately i've noticed a milky
white discharge from my left breast and
more recently feel tender and bruised.
There's no way i'm pregnant and I cant
feel any lumps. I think i'm probably
been paranoid but my mom died from breast
cancer and i'm terrified, but also worried
a doctor will think i'm over reacting.
Sorry for coming over all paranoid but any
comments that would put my mind at rest
would be greatly appreciated!

I am not a doctor and know nothing about
your condition but if im anything to go by
(very paranoid also) id say that youre
trying to make yourself believe its
something that its not.
I have this weird lump under my arm (see
thread I created) and im scared to death
that at 19, I have breast cancer!!!
I dont know what to do :(
i wish you all the best, im sure its
nothing to worry about!

I Dont Think You Are Over Reacting. Posted: 01-01-05 11:20am
I am a graduate majoring in orthopedic.
And I know a little about breast cancer
.I cant give you certain advice . But I
do advise you to see a doctor.
Cuz your mother had breast cancer(sorry to
mention that) ,then you should be alert
at such symptoms.
But I hope we are both over reacting.
Please let us know what happens next.

with what you discribe
you need to tell your doctor so that he
can check. Even if you can't feel a lump
there could be one. I am not trying to
scare you but some of what you describe is
signs of problems. He won't think you are
being paranoid.

Hi Katty Posted: 10-20-06 05:35am
You know! Having a history of breast
cancer in near relatives increases the
chances of breast cancer.
So its better you visit your doctor she
will certainly help you out.
I don't think you have experienced
symptoms.
And coming to the "white discharge" its
normal at your age.
