Indegestion, Gall Bladder, Or What?!?
Posted: 12-13-04 05:57am

Okay here's my situation, maybe someone might have an opinion on what his could be, because i'm so confused. For about a month now i've been having terrible stomach/intestine pains. Whenever I eat anything, my stomach hurts almost immediately or within 30-60 minutes later. The only thing that will relieve this temporarily is emptying the bowels, which will do so without my control. I have some symptoms of gallstones such as sharp pains in the right abdomen. My doctor has originally diagnosed this as ibs, until the results of my blood tests and ultrasound come back. I'm worried, i'm 26 and would tend to think this is early for gall bladder problems. I don't have any of the nausea or vomiting just constant diarrhea that follows if I eat anything. Could this be gall bladder or something else? Any ideas??

Well, just to let you all know that my symptoms did in fact turn out to be gallstones, multiple at that. It is recommended that I have my gall bladder removed and at the age of 26, they only suggestion is that is this hereditary. So, you can definitely have different symptoms that the typical ones suggested. If anyone has any comments on the complications after surgery I would most definitely love to know.

What test did you doc run to determine this? I have the exact same problem. I am 28 and it has been going on for years now. Thanks, sunny
