Gallbladder Removal
Posted: 12-15-04 18:13pm

I had my gallbladder removed two years ago. I'm still having referred pain and some of the same systems. I just had an ultrasound and they found that I still have a gallbladder. I'm so confused!!! I checked with the surgeon's office and they said the report said they removed a gallbladder. I called the ultrasound place back and they said there was no mistake made. The had three different people look at the scan and there is defintely something in there that looks like a gallbladder. Now who is wrong? Has this ever happened to anyone out there?

get another ultrasound done. (somewhere else if necessary) it's not unheard of to get names mixed up, especially with computerized filming and reporting of exams. If the gallbladder is still there, that surgeon has some explaining to do. A hida scan may be helpful too.
