I would say yes, as long as you have some place to store all that stuff until the baby's born. Yesterday my doc said that since i'm past the 12 weeks and he heard a strong heartbeat that we're good to go now.

it's ridiculous-

my aunt: the "family" oak crib and she's going to take me to get all the bedding and mattress and stuff

my sis: highchair, receiving blankets (like 50 of them) toys, sleepers

my boss: breast pump, swing, clothes, toys, pics and frames for the baby's room, car seat for toddler

hubby's best friend: brand new stroller and new born carseat, clothes (if it's a girl.

All i'm gonna need is the moniter and the little things....

I was going .N.U.T.S. When I was about 13/20wks. I wanted everything. But I really waited to buy until I knew for sure what iwas having. But even then, I was still in a slump. I have just received over 100.00 worth of clothes from my mom. Everything from sleepers, onesies to cotton pants and booties and hats. I am all set with those. Just a few outfits to go out in and im good.

Got my travelsystem at the beginning of the month and my crib about 2.5 months before that and the crib set a month ago. Im waiting for baby!! 34 days!!!

Youre lucky, I feel like im not going to have anything for this baby. I gave everything away b cuz I thought I was done with having kids. I never had a baby shower with either of mine and I dont want to have one this time b cuz for some reason I feel very uncomfortable being around so many people!!!! Hopefully family will come thru.

I was in the same boat. I had nothing because like you, I gave my other stuff away and sold my other crib. I had .N.O.T.H.I.N.G and my mom has really done a lot. My boyfriend is the 'i will help when hes here.But not before' kind of person. He didnt help much with our first either. Its men for you. Everything I have, mymom bought or I did. His wallet hasnt gone flat like my moms and mine has. Oh well. I guess its something to get use to.
