[quote="babyrae"]i actually had about 2 or
3 vaginal ultrasounds when I was having a
miscarriage.
But arent u onyl like 7 1/2 weeks?? They
cant tell twins that early
yes they can tell that early, cause you
can have two sacs in there. And two
placentas.
and another thing I had an u/s done when I
miscarried. So they do do them....

Yea, thats true. A lot of ppl dont find
out until they are farther along, so
wendy, most likely they dont find out in
the early weeks that they are having
twins.

But it is possible to know you're having
twins at 7.5 weeks.

Doesn't work.
Yes. We know that you can tell thru
ultrasound but we were talking about
listening to the heartbeat at 7.5wks.

Yeah, my doctor wouldn't even get the
doplar when I first went there at like 8
weeks pregnant because she didn't think
we'd get anything yet.
I also had to have one of those vaginal
ultrasound, thats when they found out my
cervix was thinning out and I was
dialating at 31 weeks! It sucked

They had to fly me out of my hometown
because we don't have a nicu here. I live
in small town in alaska, so they flew me
to anchorage and I went into premature
labor twice there and they had to hook me
up to the iv and all that good stuff, then
they sent me home when I was 36 weeks, and
I had my baby girl at 38 weeks (november
5th)

Um just my input but with a vaginal
ultrasound they can detect a pregnancy as
soon as the gestational sack has
developed, that is even b4 a heart beat
can be detected......... Vaginal
ultrasound gives the tech a clearer veiw
of what is happening inside the womb,
there for a heart beat can be detected
earlier then with the conventional form of
ultrasound, and a diagnosis of twins would
be possible by the presance of two fetal
gestational sacks and/ or heart
beats....... Other wise often missed with
the "normal" tummy ultrasound at such a
young age.

Actually you guys believe it or not when I
as miscarrying the second day when I wen
to the er they did they same type of
ultrasound on me too. They put a like a
plastic bag over the tube to prevent from
blood getting on it and they did and
ultrasound like that on me too. So pls
dont assume shes just lying because it
doesnt seem logical....I know shes
probably not lying cuz I had the same one
done on me while I was miscarrying. It
just gives a better up close pic of
everything. Although I could not see the
baby since it was already gone.. But
anyways they do those kind of ultrasounds
even while someones miscarrying.... I
know its kinda gross but a docs gotta do
what they gotta do lol..
