Peteciae Rash Yet Good Blood Counts? Are We In the Clear? Posted: 12-17-04 11:41am


My daughter has a peteciae rash that continues producing new and fading old on a daily basis for 16 days now. We have had a full panel of blood workup and everything looks good. Her platletts, hemoglobin, and blood counts are healthy. Yet we still don't know the cause of the peteciae. I am curious to know if anyone has experienced peteciae as an early symptom before platelet damage occurred? She appears healthy and we don't see any other potential signs of leukemia other then this peteciae. Still, I would hate to dismiss it as one of those "things" then come to find out down the road that it was indeed a sign? - thanks in advance for any thoughts! -
