got hpv from the girl he was cheating on
me with; anyways, to the things that
really matter, now i'm married with the
best husband in the world, who also has
hpv. My question is: now we are trying
for our own family can our children get
the hpv from me during pregnancy or during
birth? Can anyone help? If so please

I had hpv a lil over a year ago and I ahd
to go in every 6 months for a calcoscopy
or something or another to see if it was
progreesing or not bucuz it goes away on
its own sometimes....But the thing is they
told me that it could turn into cancer if
it didnt go away or if I didnt get
treated...They reccomended this laser
surgery to be where they take a hot wire
or something and go in there and shave the
cells away...Well thankfully it went away
on its own and I just told them I was
pregnant and they didnt say anything about
it so im not sure if it has any effect on
the baby...There is always a chance that
it can come back they said so I would ask
a doctor first to be on the safe
side....Good luck though....

1sttimemom2be,
yeah when I first got the hpv, it was
really bad so within a month I had the
surgery (it had turned into cancer
already). It is scary to know that it
could come back at anytime. Right now I
just want to do the right thing, I dont
want to do anything to hurt my future
children. I've had alot of problems so
i'm not sure if I can even get pregnant
but i'm praying and hoping that god gives
me this one wish that I have wanted for so
long. 1sttimemom2be, well anyone can,
you can email me anytime. at jenn4272

Question
i have been diagnosed with hpv. How will
that impact my baby and the way the child
is born? Will I have to have a c-section?
- kristi, laredo
answer
the human papilloma virus (hpv, or genital
warts) is extremely common -- planned
parenthood estimates that up to one out of
10 americans have genital hpv infection.
While there is a very small risk that the
baby can develop laryngeal papillomas
(vocal cord warts), the incidence is very
low. The thinking for the past several
years is to allow vaginal birth in these
circumstances. Most authorities believe
it is not necessary to do a cesarean
delivery.
Unfortunately I have the same problem. I
dont know where I got it but I do know
that there are a bunch of diiferent
strands that you can get, and about 70% of
the population is infected. Yuo can jhave
it and not even know it for years. It is
a virus so it never goes away, but your
immune system can fight it back so it
doesnt bother you as much. Right now i'm
on the aldara cream , my doc saud there is
a small chance of passing it on to the
baby, but only if there are visible warts
at the time of delivery. So i'm keeping
my fingers crossed and hoping the crea,m
will at least make the symptoms go away.
If you had the cancer type, it was most
likely flat warts, which are different
from the normal bumpy knid...Just talk
with your doc and see what she has to say,
let em know youre concerns, they should be
understanding.

it is not genital warts....It is some scar
tissue on ur cervix that can turn into
cervical cancer....It can cause warts but
thats not wat it is....I know cuz I had
it...
