My whole life I was raised without a father, but im not quite sure how to raise my baby without a father, especially if it's a boy! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to tell my baby why he doesnt have a father figure when the time comes?

Hun your child will love you anyways. I too will have a fatherless child and my plan is just to tell them the truth that their father chose not to be there. They do have a father in god though and I will teach my child this as my mother taught me. I will find a man one day that will love me and my child and show my child what a real father can be and is. If you ever need to talk hun I am here. I am sure you will be a great mother and father.

One way to compensate for this is through the "big brother big sister" program, which is designed to provide such a balance in situations such as is facing you and your child. Here is their website:

Thank you for instilling such confidence in me I just hope that my baby will understand that he is better of not knowing his father, but that this does not mean he doesnt love him. I never really cared about my dad but if I have a son im worried that he will have problems in the future. I am going to check out the big brothers and sisters thing, that is a great idea, thanx!!!

Don't worry about not having the father around. My baby boy isnt gonna have his dad around. I dont want him around. When its time to tell your son why his father is not around im sure you will figure out what to tell him. And im sure he will understand what and why he isnt around. Just teach him to love and how to take care of women so he doesnt take not having a father around out on his future girlfriends. Thats what I plan on doing and I pray im doing the right thing. Us single moms are the best mother and father a baby can ever have. Hope everything goes good with you and your son.
