I started taking paxil cr about 4 weeks
ago. I started out on 12.5mg for about
2 and a half weeks and then went up to
25mg. I have been feeling better with
my social anxiety and depression, my
general anxiety has gotten slightly
better.
I was wondering what side effects anyone
has experienced on this.
Some days I feel good other days I feel
alright. Im no way near as tired as I
was on xanax xr, but I do get tired
earlier at night. I feel nervous still
and in the beginning I had no appetite and
now I feel hungry more often, have
cravings (like sweets/salts), and just
overall larger appetite. I may feel
hungry (stomache growling), but I dont
feel like eating. Is this normal?
Ive also been experiencing a lot of
vaginal discharge (globs of light yellow
and clear/white). I am taking birth
control pills and did have discharge from
that, but now since I started paxil I have
a lot more, where I wear a panie liner to
keep my underwear from getting wet. I
did get a urine test done and I dont have
a uti or anything (at least when this
started), but I am going next week for my
yearly gyno exam and I am going to mention
it to her. I seem to be more forgetful
and "out of it" at times, and sometimes
have a hard time focusing on one task.
Ive been having some abdominal discomfort
(had this since march), but there seems to
be more since starting paxil. Some days
I just feel totally weird. I know ive
only been on it a short time and it takes
4 -6 weeks to take full effect, but I just
dont like the way it makes me feel
sometimes. Im going to try it a little
longer and see what happens. If within
a month or so I still dont feel right, im
going to see about getting off it. Ive
also been getting more headaches (always
got headaches), but I seem to get them
more often now. I know a lot is me just
being paranoid and "looking" for symptoms
and being more aware, im sure I had a lot
of these before everything, but I just
want to make sure everything is normal.
Has anyone ever experienced any of these
symptoms?
What has anyone experienced while taking
paxil cr and when did your side effects
disappear?

I have been taking paxil cr 12.5 for about
4-5wks now. I dont feel much diffrent.
A bit tired and sleepy and an increase in
appetite. I just weighed my self today
and I have gained 5 pounds since I began
taking it. I am going to my dr next
month to see what she says because I dont
feel like its working for the type of
anxiety my dr thinks I have. About the
other stuff, they dont sound like paxils
cr side effects. Your dr would be the
best help with that. Do mention to him
that days you feel well and days you dont.
Also tell him about the increase and teh
cravings for food you have. Keep in
touch

Paxil Cr 12.5mg Posted: 12-15-07 21:37pm
i just started taking paxil, same
dosage,feel like crap.eyes r dialated, n
have the dull headaches all day long....i
was on it about 2yrs. ago, n it worked
great, i felt great, it just made me gain
15 pounds, i was already hungry again, an
hour later, having just ate a meal, n the
cravings were bad, chocolate, salt,
fattening foods......i know, it was bad,.
after trying meds, after meds, after meds,
i have to say, does anything really work?
im only 30, n been on some sort of
anti-depressant since my early 20's . just
went through some traumatizing events,
which, they say triggered my
anxiety/depression, is this really true,
or do i just need someone to talk to? i
feel better after seeing my therapist of
10yrs, why wont the insurance companies
pay for therapy more often, rather than
just once a week? im really doubting the
"seratonin" myth also, i feel like crap, n
think, im worse off now, than before i
started taking this drug, and others like
it....
