Sudden Weight Loss After Preterm Labor??? Posted: 12-23-04 15:43pm


I went into preterm labor on the 20th at exactly 24 weeks. I was given meds to stop the contractions and put on bedrest. Since that day, ive lost 6 lbs. Ive been eating regularly if not more then normal, drinking lots of fluids, but losing weight! Is this in anyway okay? My pre-pregnancy weight is about 120 lbs. Then I went down to 113 lbs due to morning sickness. I had went up to 114 lbs at my last appt with my ob/gyn, now im down to 108 lbs. Im also high risk due to asthma, multiple miscarriages, multiple ovarian cysts and a severe uterus infection. What is going on and what can be causing this? I dont have another appointment with my ob/gyn until next week... Thanks in advance, alicia
