Q: How Many of You Had Some Sort of Period While Pregnant?

Just wondering for how long into your preg. And what they were like. I've been trying for a little over a month. When I first came off the pill I started my period right away and it was still short, but def. A period. This time I just had a little bit of spotting each day and it was old blood.. Hardly any new blood. My friend said that she spotted like that for four months before she found out she was. Preg with her youngest. Just wondering how many people had a similar situation and if you could share any details that might help. Thanks so much :)

Its hard to say because some women can have a period through out there whole pregnancy. Some women will just have implantation bleeding. The only way to tell if you are pregnant is to take a hp test or go to a doctor and get a blood test. Either or good luck and kep us informed. We are here if you need to talk

No periods for me!! I am 20 wks so I guess if I was gonna have one it would've come already!

I had a light period without any cramps for the first 2 months and then my period just didn't come again. I am 13 weeks pregnant.

I Had..

A short period at first but it was so short compared to normal!! That was when I was 9 weeks and I stopped bleeding after that, no more bleeding for me..I have enjoyed not having a period so that's one thing I dread coming back after the baby is here :p

i didn't have any sort of bleeding with my daughter, but i've had really light spotting, 6 days early (i've never had spotting, especially not 6 days early)
the following day I had nothing, the following day light spotting again.
It started pink, but is brownish now-pregnancy test was negative-but period isn't due until sat (today is thurs) so i'm still hopefull.

Hi kyeli,
i was wondering if you were really pregnant? I'm having the same symptoms as you did (old blood, barely any new) . I would really appreciate your answer or anyone elses answer on this issue. Could, a strangely short, old blood period be a sign of pregnancy? Thank you.

Ya know I had a little bleeding when at about 8 weeks, I went to the er and they said everything looked fine and that it is normal for some people to have lite periods while being pregnant. However, I had to have a d&c a few weeks later, it was not normal for me. I don't think bleeding is a sign of pregnancy but I think it is normal for some people.......

If that helps any, I started writing and kept going so I hope it makes sense... :lol:

Hi I also had a light bleeding on my 5th week. Went to the e.R. Saw a junior doctor (didnt realise he was at that time) and said that it was 90% chance of miscarriage (devastated!!!!) but he booked me for an ultrasound and found out that everything incldg. My baby was fine and normal. The head nurse's explanation was: each individual's pregnancy is unique, she said some women experience bleeding or menses which just lasts a day(implantation bleeding) thru the first trimester. Hope this helps
