Here it is I had protected sex twice in
october my period hasn't come since
october I am have lactation I am on heavy
antiphsycotic meds I have had three
negative blood test then I get online and
read that most people don't test positive
even with blood test until they are 4 or 5
weeks. Could I be giving myself a false
pregnancy? How much of this is probably
pregnancy and how much is schitzo
effective disorder. I have bad gas that
I think is causing flutters some of the
meds I am on cause this what do you think
my chances are.

I'm just going to give you my opinion you
might need to check and see what the side
effects of the meds are and clam down if
you were protected with no mistakes then
you should be ok just relax and check the
side effects.

And since it has now been 8-12 weeks since
your last period, any pregnany should test
positive by now. You can get the test at
the local pharmacy as well.

What about everyone getting negatives and
then testing positive is that normal to
have three negative blood test and still
be pregnant or is it different for each
woman when can I trust them the test.

Yeah but then quite a few symtoms are
linked with other things. I think you
should see adocter, then you can ask about
your meds (side affects or summing) ??

f it is 83 units of whatever units it
normally is reported in (units that escape
my memory for the moment), then the level
is somewhere around 3-4 times normal, and
it almost certainly is the medication.
It would not be that elevated this early
in pregnancy.
So go check with the physician who
prescribed the psychotropics, or even just
call the office and tell them the
prolactin number and that you are
lactating. That should get a relatively
fast response.

That doesn't mean that you are wrong, as
it is your own emotional relaxation that
is necessary, and that can not be willed
into existence. Logic does not dictate
emotions as everybody are aware off.
But lets just say that your information
doesn't quite fit pregnancy, whereas your
lactating and prolactin level fits side
effects of psychotropic medications.
You can take another home-test, but it
probably won't relieve your worries, so
the best is to call your physicians office
and tell them what meds you are on and
what your worries are.
Certainly, some of the more serious
psychotropic medications are a concern in
pregnancy, so I can understand your
worries, but to me it sounds like you are
not pregnant and that the lack of menses
and the lactating are from the medication,
but you just need to be sure. Your
doctor should be able to get a blood draw
to lab to confirm. Those really aren't
wrong, certainly not if your last period
was in october. That should confirm it
without worries.
As for frequent urination, the big worry
there is diabetes, especially if you are
on any of the newer ("atypical")
antipsychotics for mood stabilizer, such
as zyprexa/olansapine or
risperdal/risperidone.

or will I get negatives and find out that
I am pregnant my stomach is tight and
hurts and there is a discharge.

A blood test is very accurate. If there
is a discharge it could be other things as
well. You need to go to a doctor to get
that checked out depending on the
discharge. Good luck but I dont think
that you are pregnant. I think it could
be something else

you think my possibilities of being
pregnant really are. I read other post
and think it all is happening to me.

I had the brownish discharge too. I am
going crazy with this are there false
negatives on blood test or just htps?

I think you are worrying for nothing! At
8-12 wks a blood test is 100%!! Trust the
test but you should go to ur doc for your
other symptoms! Good luck and I doubt u r
pregnant.
