Q: Late Birth Control Pill

I'm in a bit of a panic. I took the third last of my active pills about 9 hours late. I followed the instructions and took it as soon as I remembered and then continued on with the rest of my pills. I finished the pills 3 days later and had my period as normal the following week. The day after I finished my period I had unprotected contact with my boyfriend (we used a condom, but did have some contact before the condom). I am worried that the missed pill would have altered my ovulation cycle for my next preiod, and that having sex a week after missing my pill may have been a mistake. Could someone please give me some advice, or try to calm me down, bacuse as the days go by i'm starting to freak out even more. Thank you

I can honestly say you probably have nothing to worry about. I used to miss a pill once in awhile and then take it the next day and nothing ever happened. My period would come like clockwork the next month. If you had missed a few in a row then there would be reason to worry but missing it once and then taking it 9 hours later is nothing. I hardly ever took mine at the same time of the day. Sometimes I would take one in the morning and then the next one the day after at night. Don"t worry about it! :d

You shouldnt have anything to worry about, but if you feel that you do you can always call your ob to get the morning after pill... Good luck but I think you will be okay

Im still slightly paniced...Now im worried that because ive been so worried the stress is going to mess up my cycle this month. Anyways enough of me being crazy, im 5 days away from when I expect my period, i've had symptoms (but they started about 2 days early) it almost feels like it may come early, that worries me abit but im dealing with it. The feedback that you have left for me has really helped ease my nerves.

I do have one other question...Could someone describe implemention bleeding, what it is, symptoms and when to expect it

any last minute words of encouragement would also be appriciated.
