I am going to start from the begining so I
can be as clear as possible.
I am 19, and on thanksgiving '04 my
boyfriend was violently sick. He was
vomiting all day, and that was it, he has
felt fine since. On the following sunday
nov. 27th I too vomited, but only once
not all day long. I felt fine after that,
until monday november 29th. I had
diarrhea, and severe nausea. The dirrhea
lasted about a week and a half. But to
this day I am still nauseous. I get this
feeling in my stomach like I want to
vomit, but haven't. Its worse if I am
hungry, and when I wake up in the morning.
I have taken 3 pregnancy tests, one
myself two through two different doctors.
All negative. The doctors said it was a
stomach bug and to wait it out. Well I
tried to but after 2 more weeks of the
nausea I went back. This time they said
it was gi and they prescribed me
ranitidine (zanax) for acid reflux. I
never have had heart burn and still
haven't. About a week or two of being on
the meds, I had pain near my ovary(i have
had a cyst before and I felt that same
pain) so I went to my obgyn. There was no
cyst there, but I told him about my
nausea, so he prescibed me zolfran. He
said that should take care of it and it
shouldn't come back. Well it hasn't gone
away. And the meds are gone. So I have
literally felt nauseous for almost 2
months now, and I am begining to think it
won't ever go away. Monday morning I woke
up, I vomited the acid up from my stomach,
first time I have done this since I have
felt sick, and had dirrhea again. Then
the next day my stomach was sore...Like
where my intestines are. It even hurt
when I caughed. The nausea isn't as bad
as it was to begin with but it is still
bad enough to keep me home. I eat
normally, no change in my diet. But there
is one thing I don't get, if I lay on my
side I get not only nauseous but I feel
pain from my stomach. Almost like someone
is pressing really hard on it, trying to
force me to vomit. The doctors pressed
on it before and it wasn't as tender. I
dont' know if anyone can help me figure
out what is wrong...Or let me know if they
have had this. Please help!!! I am so
sick of feeling nauseous.
At the moment I take ortho-trisprintec
and ranitidine on a daily basis. I was on
zolfran as well but that presciption is
used up.

It does sound like you have a really bad
bug.. It could be that they aren't giving
you the right meds to help it. I got
something just after thanksgiving that
wasn't much different. Mine has subsided
in the last week or two. It could be
your stomach is really sore from the
nausea and everything else. They seem to
give everyone acid reflux meds for stomach
problems when they don't even treat the
right symptoms. You might want to seek a
different doctor. Ask for some meds for
stomach cramps.. That might help. Maybe
the zofran just didn't work for you. Or
.. Do what I did and live on mylanta..
The thing you have to be careful about is
that it's not an actual infection of your
stomach. Have they done any blood tests?

I have had blood tests, but for some
reason they tested me for mono...And I
don't have a clue what else, but they said
everything looked fine. So I don't know.
I woke up again this morning at like 5:00
with really back stomach nausea, and it
didn't go away until I made myself get
sick. And it still bothers me a little at
the moment. If it's just a bug...It's
the longest bug I ever had.
