I am 19 years old. I feel like I can tell my mom anything but in nov. I took 2 home pregnancy test and they both came back positive and I haven't told her.I know things get worse with time. I spend the night at my b/f's house all the time and my mom has no problem with it even though i`m not on birth control. I stayed with him the other night and my mom throws this big fit about how I need to get back on the pill and how she doesn't want me having a baby at 20. My b/f's parents know i`m pregnant and so does my sister, but I haven't told my mom or dad. I`m not worried about telling my dad, but I am worried about telling my mom. I don't know where to start or how to tell her!! Help!!

Well if you got a pos test in november and youre anything like me, you're probably already getting thick and full in "suspicious places". And I think you're right that the longer you wait to tell your mom the harder its gonna be. I was just the other way around from you. I was more scared about telling my dad than my mom, so I told my mom before dad got home and she told him.

When I told my mom her first reaction was "if this is a joke i'm not laughing". I told her it wasn't a joke then went to my room and started to cry. Mom came in and told me she loved me and it'd be ok, and she'd be there for me. I told her I was really scared how dad would take it and asked mom if she'd tell him. I was upstairs in my room scared to death when she told him. I could hear they were both really upset, but then after a little while they both came in and said they were disappointed but they still loved me and would stick by me no matter what.

Going by what i've heard from other girls I know i'm lucky. I hope you'll be as lucky too. Maybe you can tell your dad and let him tell your mom.

Oh yeah, i'm 17 but i'll be 18 on the 27th. At least you're old enough you can make your own decisions and no one can say much about it.

Good luck!!

My mom has been wanting me to have a baby forever now! Ive been with my boyfriend since my 15th birthday, and im glad I made it to at least 18, and I will be 19 when I have the baby. I agree with krista, I think your old enough to make your own decision. Your mom and dad might not be too happy with it at first, but that will be their grandchild, and they will get over it. Are you happy about the baby? Cause you cant have a baby according to when they think the time is right. If your scared, dont be, I can tell by your post that your a mature and responsible person because you care about what your family thinks and feels. I think you will do just fine. With telling your parents and raising a child. At least you have support from the other side of the family. And you know you can always come to the board, and you will have all of us :) good luck :)

Well..I go to my first doctor's appointment on jan 10th, according to the nurse I should be about early 8 weeks. My b/f is getting really impatient with me not telling my mom. He even offered to tell her, but I don't wanna see my mom choking the living daylights out of him.. I think I am going to sit her down along with my b/f so he and I can both tell her. Maybe it'll make things easier if I have him there. My sister got pregnant at 19 and had the baby at 20, and my mom didn't make a big deal about it so i`m hoping she won't make a big deal about me, but I am the youngest so I dunno..Oh well..Ty for the advice I feel better about telling her now.. :d
