Approximately 3 weeks ago I began
suffering from stiffness and minor pain in
my wrists/hands, and in my ankls/feet. I
went to the doctor and was tested for
diabetes among other things. The tests
all came back negative and they just put
me on anti-inflammatory's. It has been 2
weeks and there is no improvement
whatsoever. Plus, this morning I awoke
with pain and stiffness on the left side
of my face. Anyone out there hear of any
of these symptoms? I have tried a few
avenues such as a pinched nerve and ms,
but the face thing doesn't really seem to
be an issue with ms. Please help!!

Numbness In Extremeties Posted: 10-26-03 20:31pm
Please consider whether your numbness in
your extremeties and pain on the left side
of your face could be warning signs of an
eventual stroke. I would discuss this
possibility with my doctor.

Tingling In Hands And Feet Posted: 01-18-04 22:55pm
I had numbness and tingling in my hands
and feet, then it moved up my legs, then I
became incontinent. Also had migraines
and acne-like problems and felt
terrible.
It turned out to be pernicious anemia,
which meant that my stomach wasn't
producing an enzyme necessary to absorb
b-12, so I was b-12 deficient. I got
b-12 shots for about ten years. Now I
take intrinsi b-12 made by metagenics and
bought at a chiropractor's office. I
havn't found it in vitamin stores.
I'm totally fine if I take the pills, and
I had three kids -- it didn't seem to
affect the pregnancies.
Good luck!

Everyone With Numbness And Tingling Listen Up! Posted: 11-08-04 14:35pm
I had all of these signs (itching,
tingling, aching, jumpy legs, sore joints
etc etc. Way before I found out...
I have has neuropathy for 18 years, it was
caused first by kidney disfunction, and
finally when I lost my kidneys due to
alports syndrome my legs and hand went
completely numb.
Diabetics are usually the highest risk for
contracting nueropathy but any chemical
defeciency will contribute. Especially
the b series.
All of you who are experiencing tingling,
pain from an unknown source, knee and
ankle problems.
Get to your dr's office and see a
neurologist asap!
The worse it gets the harder it is to
treat.
My wife was diagnosed with a mild case of
diabeties but the neuropathy kicked in
right away.
She just underwent a new surgery to
relieve nerve pressure in her legs, kind
of like carpel tunnel syndrome surgery.
That was this last friday, today she is
noticing a considerable difference even
all tucked up in that huge plastic boot.
She intends to have the other leg done in
a month, and then it's my turn.
Believe me after 15+ years of having "drop
foot" where I cannot move my toes, I have
absolutely no sensation on the surface but
I have dealt with pain, clinics,
narcotics, and every other option
available. If this works as the Dr. Says
there is an 80+% success rate and I can
actually walk normally, and maybe even run
again I don't have to tell you what that
would do for my outlook on life.
Neuropathy is a silent and rarely talked
about disabler.
Share this information with all concerned.

I'm very concerned. I've been to several doctors... Posted: 01-29-08 02:23am
I all of the following symptoms: tching,
tingling, aching, jumpy legs, painful
joints, arms goes to sllep everytime I sit
down, I go numbe from the waiste down if I
stand for more than a few minutes. It's
gotten so bad in my left hand that I am
barely able to type or eat. I am left
handed. Keep dropping things. Headaches,
gained 60 pounds in 6 months!
I had a knee replacement 2 years ago and
had a spinal. I wonder if this has
something to do with my spinal. I had OA,
RA and osteoporosis. I am 52 years old.
Wating for the other knee to be replaced.
I've developed fibroa's on arch of both
feet! My eyes are failing and I keep
tripping over my own feet. I'm a mess!
Scared to bits over the numbness. Any
suggestions?
