I was wondering if anyone knew of ways to get labour to speed up, by this I mean i'm 39 weeks pregnant my due date is jan 22 and i'm so anxious to see my baby girl!!!!! Some one told me having sex will speed up my labour, but I do and it does not seem to be working I also walk 20 minutes a day since the beginning of this month..... I was very active through out my pregnancy I mean I worked and went to school, but now i'm on maternity leave and the semester over!!!!!!!!!!! So if any one has any ideas on how I can hold my lil girl a little early please reply

thanks in advance

There are alot of 'old wives tales' about this.... But new research shows that the baby him/herself determines his/her birthday by releasing a hormone which begins active labour. So do all the things you're doing, sex walking etc.... But baby will come when she wants to!
