Last summer, about a month before I had to
go away to school, one night I just got
very ill. I threw up all night and all
the next day. I went to the doctors and
they thought it was just some food
poisning. This got worse so I went to a
gastrologist(spelling?) and he thought it
was just acid reflux and stomach spasm.
So he prescribed prilosec. It seemed to
get better. Then the day I moved into
college(im a sophmore) the first night I
felt very sick so I went into the walk in
clinic. They prescribed me prilosec and
they also told me to take "gas-x" or the
clones with the same active ingredients,
after each meal. This I think made me
feel the best, however I was still never
fully feeling well.
A week before thanksgiving, I got very ill
and began throwing up all night, went to
the hospital and they said I had stomach
virus from some food.
So now I came home for x-mas break, and I
feel like im getting ill again. The
pains are in my lower abdomen. Left side
under rib cage is where it hurts the most,
its like a constant pain. I feel very
uneasy around eating and just being
active. I went to the gastrologist, and
he prescribed me dycolomin(spelling?) but
he determined it was irrital bowl
syndrome. But he had some doubts because
my bowls have been fine, been solid every
day 1 time atleast. So 3-4days into it,
I got really sick again, very uneasy. I
went to the gastro again, and now im
scheduled for monday for a upper gi scope.
Im just curious, what is wrong with me?
I'm so fustrated.
I have been looking at post here, and some
have said stress and anxiety. Im just
not sure, I was very stressed out in
school, but I wasn't feeling like this
during the school year.
Last summer I had the ulcer test and it
came back negative.
Any insight guys?
Thanks,
dan

Ask About Your Gallbladder!! Posted: 01-13-05 16:30pm
I was having problems before being
diagnosed with ulcer and the 1st thing
they checked was my gall bladder. Dr.
Said many many people with this problem
are being misdiagnosed and ignored.
Specifically request a gall bladder exam.
