Possible Pregnancy? Need Help Determining! Posted: 01-09-05 22:32pm
My girlfriend is having a heavy pain in
her uterus...Ten times worse she says then
cramps.
A hot bath didn't help, neither did
tylenol. It didn't start happening until
after she started taking nordette (birth
control).
We weren't even really sure before she
took the pill if she was pregnant or not.
There was a time during sexual intercourse
(two weeks ago) that I came inside her.
We were wondering whether she had gotten
pregnant or not...But then these pills
were basically sprung on us. Is it
possible that these birth control
pills....If she is pregnant...Is possible
aborting a baby inside her? Or is this
just her uterus getting used to the
medicine? Today was the first day shes
even taken the birth control pill.
Would it really starting working so
quickly and dramatically?
And if she is pregnant...Is this a
possible miscarriage? Any help would be
greatly appreciated as soon as possible!

Bc pills are the same hormones that your
body makes when it is pregnant so it would
not make her abort. She could be
pregnant and needs to get blood test.
Go to planned parenthood for an accurate
and confidential blood test. They can
tell at a very early date. The bc pill
wil not protect her if she is already
pregnant.
When I was late I took 10 grams, that is
10,000 mg vit c four times a day to make
me start my period. It raises estrogen
levels that make you start your period.
I did this when I was two weeks late, but
I did not wait any longer. I have also
used herbs to make me start. Some
heralists sell them. But the vit c is
the easiest. I have done it five days
before I was suppose to start when I had
unprotected sex.

First, I just want to say...If she doesn't
know if she is pregnant before going on
the pill, she shouldn't take it until she
knows....So whether you go to planned
parenthood or something similar, or she
just takes an at-home pregnancy test, she
shouldn't take the pill until she knows
she isn't pregnant. (i know the
packaging, pharmacist, and gyn would have
told her the same thing). After that, no
matter what - I would suggest a trip to
either her pcp (primary care physician) or
her gyn...Because these cramps could
signify something worse that should be
checked out immediately (not to scare you,
but think ovarian/uteran cancer, cysts,
etc?)...It's waaay better to be safe than
sorry.
Good luck and god bless!

You say these pills were sprung on
you??Did they fall from the sky??Come
on!If you are sexually active, it is your
(both of you!!) responsibility to use
birth control. It is not up to anyone's
parents to provide birth control. If her
parents or your parents got birth control
for the two of you,she should have been
examined by a doctor first.Being sexually
active is an adult act and the two of you
should act like adults and not try to
place blame on anyone besides
yourselves. Please ,go see a doctor who can
explain how to take the pills and test her
for pregnancy!Best to you both.
