Is This Normal??
Posted: 01-10-05 16:30pm

I am 15 weeks pregnant and barely showing but where I am showing is like a circle around my belly button. I am really short so could that be why I am showing around my belly button. I am confused I see pictures of pregnant women and they are all carrying low and I have this big circle in the middle of my stomach. Does anyone have the same thing?

It could have to do with how the fetus is positioned. Also if you are short, it could lie that high. But generally, the top of the uterus can be felt at the bellybutton around wek 20, and then rises about 1 cm each week after that. It it rises to fast, you could have twins. If it rises to slow, there could be some problem with the fetus' growth.

But if your distance between the top of the pubic bone and the belly button is very short, then it could show higher even at 16 weeks.

Lol. Or you could have twins =8^0

Thanks for your replies. I hope I am not having twins. I think you are right though it could be because I am short.
