Hey,

all year since february i've been plagued with horrible stomach upset every day! I couldn't eat!! I would be so nauseated for so long I felt like I was going to throw up any moment! I never did but had to make myself once just to feel better. Then, it turned into intense heartburn. It is now 9 months later and I can finally eat. However, once in a while I still get nauseated but only slightly and for a short period of time and get full super fast. I lost 10 lbs over this. Although not a bad thing but i've gone for tests upon test and they never found a thing!
Anyone ever go through this?? I'm thinking maybe it's been stress. Many people suggested it and in the last 2 months my life has panned out more and i'm more relaxed. It could be it.

I Know the Feeling
Posted: 10-28-03 13:03pm

I have been having the same horrible nausea but I can't throw up. I am always urging and it is so bad it is making my stomach sore. The doctors have done many tests and say I have a sliding hernia but that doesn't explain the constant gagging and nausea. It is making me depressed because I can't really go anywhere or do anything because I feel so miserable. The doctor is sending me to get a light put done next month so hopfully they will find out what is the problem. I have had this feeling for months and no one has ever heard of it, I hope you can contact me with some info. Thanks

Hey,

it's going away by itself.
I've had blood tests, every test...Stomach x-ray..Nothing.
Nothing comes up and there are no ideas.

It's soooo much better. Once in a while now I get nauseated. I have to watch what I eat..And like last night igot intense nausea laying down and falling asleep shortly after eating. Just once in a while it creeps up and its mental for me too..
I didn't want to go out, go to anyones house, eat anywhere but home cause i'd be crippled. I never gagged or threw up, just intense nausea like I was going to throw up any moment and it would last a long, long time..Some times for no reason, with no food in my tummy..Or just chewing a piece of gum.

Mysteries..I hear others who had similar problems and it was the same, no one knew what it was. I just hope it goes away 100% soon. I had it since march. It's october, nearing november and it's just getting 90% better.
Hope they find out for you....

Stomach Nausea
Posted: 10-31-03 13:12pm

I am plagued with acid reflex disease (gerds) and have discovered am also lactose intolerant. Sometimes I can eat something that hasn't upset my stomach and the next time I will be sick for sometimes 5 hours. I can relate to being so nauseated for full days. Feeling like I am going to throw up all day. It's frustrating and I don't look forward to food when I am going through these episodes. I am beginning to think I may also have a wheat intolerence. I have had an ultrasound that didn't show anything remarkable. I think my body is reacting to food additives and who knows what. Constant stomach upsets can get depressing. I also have ibs. Life would be much easier if you didn't have to eat!! I wish I could figure out a diet that would not upset my stomach. Any suggestions?

Stomach Problems =(- Scared 16 Year Old!
Posted: 11-04-03 16:00pm

Hey (please take the time to read)
im 16 years old and im going on my second week of the nausea/stomach thing. It all started last sunday, I had the nausea and then tuesday I had diarrhea,, wednesday I went to school and got so nauseated I had to go home, by thursday morning I begged my parents to take me to the hospital, they gave me iv and said I was dehydrated and gave me some medicine to (what they said would) ease the nausea. I went home thursday and all the dry heaving was back. Nothing would come up which aggrivated me to no end because I would get no relief but I knew it was because I had nothing in me. (i couldnt eat anything). By friday (halloween) I thought I was doing better but because of the still not eating and somewhat drinking I got so dehydrated that I started shaking and my heart raced, I thought I was going to pass out. My parents took me back to the hospital and they admitted me friday. I was severely dehydrated and my blood sugar dropped so low. They had me on iv's and would give me this n that medicine.. I was seen my many doctors including a stomach specialist. I had all the tests done and they found nothing. They called it just a nasty stomach virus and said my stomach would heal on its own I just would have to get back to the eating thing. What I found was everytime I ate, I would get this bad discomfort, which despite not having an appetite, would make me not want to eat at all. They finally discharged me yesterday because they said im going to get better at home and maybe ill eat better with the foods at home. Yesterday I thought was the best day so far, I actually ate and would still get the discomfort feeling but took some tums and just thought its going to get better. Well...Today is a whole new story, im back to the not eating, and I thought my blood sugar was dropping again because I felt weak n shaky, ive been getting some sugar in me but I still have the stomach thing today, im so aggravated and im missing so much school, I seriously just cant take it anymore. . I just want to be able to eat and feel healthy so then I could get back to the swing of things..But nothing is working..Im so upset Sad I need help !! (scared)

Constant Nausea

I know exactly how you all are feeling. I'm also missing school and I have no life because of this constant nausea and dry heaves. It just started one day for no reason. I do have ibs but this feels like its right in the middle of my ribs and theres pain, burning and constant nausea. I have never felt so sick and depressed in my life. The doctors tell me its reflux and I have to learn to live with it, but i'm convinced there's something wrong and I want an ultrasound to check my gallbladder and i'm also getting a light put down my throat. If that comes back with nothing then I might as well die because I can't live like this. I'm making my boyfriend miserable and my family. I wish somebody would tell me what is wrong and fix it! I can't eat and all I drink is water. Nothing I do helps. I go to bed sick and wake up sick. I live on gravol and sleep as much as possible but I have to get on with my life and doctors have to take me more seriously. The healthcare system we have is very bad in my opinion. I went to emergency last week because of the pain and the fact that I couldn't take it anymore and I lay in a bed for 4 hours before a nurse came and said they couldn't do anything to check my gallbladder or what the cause was and I just had to go home and suffer. This is hell!!!!! I hope some one finds an answer.

I Know What Ur Talkin About....
Posted: 11-10-03 06:47am

Hello again,,
well im goin on my third week of this and please dont feel alone. Well idk if we have the same exact thing but im gettin sick of it. The nausea is basically gone but whenever I eat, I get that same discomfort/warm feeling and it makes me soo aggrivated. Now, I have good days n bad days. Like saturday, I had such a good day, and then sunday I woke up and I ate cheese on toast and I was back to the diarrhea and nausea, not quite as bad but still had some. Then today I took off school again and went to this new doctor (i had to change cuz my old one retired) and she said that sometimes after a bad virus ,these symptoms can go on for a month, I also lost like 14 pounds and im skinny to begin with =( so they said just keep eating what u can tolerate and keep drinking (dehydration is bad) I dont want that happening again,,so I drink gatorade all the time. They also gave me pepcid to take b4 meals to calm the stomach a lil bit, I had more bloodwork and an x-ray done today and they said I have to come back in 2 weeks and by then if its not gone im going to get that scope down my stomach to see if maybe its an ulcer . ( because I did a lot of reading on ulcers and I had all the symptoms) but right now there just saying from not eating its going to take a long time to get back to normal..Which I cant take hearing that anymore cuz it feels so long,,even though its only been about 2 weeks. So hopefully ill have a good day again 2morro and im going to take the pepcid and see where it takes me. I've been depressed too from going from straight a student involved in so many things to sitting home for these weeks...Its taking a toll on me. But im praying and doing everything they said and see where it takes me...
Hope it helps a bit..Maybe u can mention these things 2 ur doctor..
Write back if u want to,,,or anyone else if they went throught this =(

I can almost relate to ur problems, ive been thru the Dr. Thing and not being able to find out anything, this has been goin on with me for well over a year. I had my galbladder removed in april of 2002, (thats what they thought it was) but I still get these real bad pains, and feel real sick after eating. Right now im on pepcid because the Dr.S are treatin it as an ulcer, but still not sure. But the medication hasnt helped any. Im beginning to think that this is some kind of mystery illness that the doctors know nothin about, especially after reading your stories.

It's been 4 months and i'm getting worse. Hopefully they will do that x-ray and if you do have an ulcer at least you know what is causing the pain and you can treat it and hopefully get better. I had that already done and the doctors say my stomach looks fine so now i'm just waiting for more tests months away and I guess i'll just have to suffer it out. I was thinking the same thing that it may be some illness that doctors haven't found yet or else we have some really stupid doctors. I hope that by christmas we all feel good again and can enjoy the holidays, because I really don't want to feel like this for christmas! Anyway, write again and I hope everyone gets well soon!!!!!!

Constant Nausea...

I went through this for a long time, and yes it is horribly depressing, but I honestly believe there is hope still.
I went to my doctor and he gave me something called the hp pack. I had to take 8 pills a day for 2 weeks, and they left a horrible taste in the mouth, but it helped.
It was gone for a long time actually, but now it is starting up again.
Gonna look into another hp pack and see if it helps. Will let you know if it helps again. It just might be what you people need. But I gotta warn ya, it costs about $100 per week, and I had to take it for 2 weeks costing me $200. Good thing for benifits at work. :d

all I can say is I really believe it has alot to do with what you eat. Maybe not entirely, but alot.
I recommend alot of organic foods.

I hope at least some of this helps at least one person. I know the feeling and it is complete misery. The hp pack will make u feel bad at first, but it helps after about a week of using it.
Although I was told you can only use it once, so please watch what you eat so that it doesnt return. I was told it would stay away as long as you watch what you eat. And I am about ready to take any advice I can get. Hehe.

Constant Nausea

My husband, age 63, has had nausea now for several weeks. He has had gas and pressure in his chest & back since last november. He has seen six different doctors, (three gastroenterologists, an internist, an ent specializing in voice disorders, a chiropractor). He has had upper gi, esophagram, gallbladder scan, stomach motility test (nuclear), heidascan (gallbladder nuclear test), endoscopy, colonoscopy, and ct scans of his neck, chest, abdomen and pelvic area. Now he is nauseated almost all the time. He has lost quite a bit of weight. He has been healthy all his life, runs 5 miles a day, never been hospitalized. We are getting so terribly frustrated and about to give up on a diagnosis. He can't go on this way!!

Resources That May Help You

I've been reading all your posts and it makes me heart ache for each of you. I can almost feel the pain that you are are experiencing and I want you to know that there is help out there.

I know what it feels like to go through test after test, only to be told there is nothing wrong with you. I suffered from chronic health problems, including numerous gastrointestinal problems for three years and finally turned to alternative healing out of sheer desperation.

That was 12 years ago and I have not had one disease or disorder since! I urge you to look at your options and take back control of your health. You can do it!

First, I would recommend visiting http://www.Curezone.Com/. Check out the topics of liver cleansing, candida, bowel cleanse, parasite cleanse and whatever else you find of interest.

If you have questions or want to know more about the benefits of colon cleansing, just post a reply and i'll be happy to offer some advice. I'd really like to see each of you regain your health. Let me know if I can help.

Many blessings,

kathy

Well, my husband has finally gotten a definitive diagnosis of his problem! This was the eighth doctor he has seen, and after all the tests that showed nothing...This doctor put him on an egg machine for 45 minutes with sensors on his chest and stomach and abdomen...Printed out a graph of his stomach and intestine motions, and diagnosed "gastrointestinal motility dysfunction." he also said he has "insulin sensitivity." there is a valve of some sort between the small intestine where it empties into the colon, and it is in spasm a lot of the time! He gave him two medications and told him to eat smaller meals about 6 times a day, and to always include a protein, a carbohydrate, and a tbsp. Of olive oil. He has to avoid all natural sugar, and can't have bananas or any types of fruit juice. Wheat flour is bad, white rice, potatoes, carrots and peas...All bad! (his 3 favorite foods!). But he is already feeling much better after only two days of meds and eating this way! Hope this helps someone! Thanks for all your interest!

I too know exactly what you all are feeling. It is most agravating!!
I was hospitalised twice when I was younger, and nothing came of the tests. Was gone for a long while, then a year ago I had stomach uslers. Since that year I have felt relitvily well, and now I am constantly feeling nauseated, gagging, and have to make myself vomit just once to feel relief if only for a minute! Some days better than others. In the morning running to the bathroom to be sick, but are unable. Drinking lots of water, eating less, and feeling worse after even the smallest thing... Even a big glass of water makes me feel as if I have to vomit!! I'm hoping it doesnt last a long while!! Definatly puts a damper on things. Clearly its a little something more than a stomach virus!

Help!!! (please Read) Im 14 And Ive Suffered Long Enough
Posted: 12-18-05 21:34pm

Hey

ive suffered for almost 2 years now and its been long enough!!!

I can so relate to what everyone is talking about. I get the constent nausea and everything. Allthough I dont, I just wish I would throw up because I would feel sooooooooo much better!. I hardly get any sleep some nights and it is really takeing a toll on me and my family. It hurts before I eat and while I eat. Sometimes its so bad that I dont eat, which is really hard cuz im hypoglycemic, which means if I dont eat enough I get really weak. I wake up in the middle of the night and run to the bathroom feeling like im about to throw up. But I can sit there for hours and nothing happens (exept the pain gets worse). It is really takeing a toll on my school life too. I have finals tomarrow and with the sleep ive gotten, I doubt I will want to even get out of bed.

It starts out as a stomach ache. I sometimes get dizzy, light headed, or even short of breath, like an athsma attack. Then, sometimes I will shake so hard that if I have a drink in my hand, it just sloshes everywhere.

My doctor diagnosed me with and anxiety disorder and acid reflex disease. But the medicine she put me on doesnt really work. (only the acid refex medicine makes a slight difference) ive had bloodtests and x-rays. After christmas I get a scope done. There is something here that no one knows about, but alot of people are experiencing. Please if any one can relate to this, let me know. Its affecting me academicaly and it affects my friends and my family. It even effects my hobbies. I dont feel like doing my favorite things any more. Im so depresed, I dont feel like myself.

Hello

Hi people.. I was reading all the cases here, and I have to say that I feel much better just knowing that im not the only one like that!:s it all started 4 months ago, when I had a strong viral infection in my stomach, and I was given a treatment. However ever since, I always feel nauseated, and it basically stays 24/7... I was given antibiotics coz I had a minor ulcer, but now the ulcer is gone, but the nausea stayed... I am a university student, and it's realllly affecting my studying. I did all kinda tests, including blood tests and even an mri for my head!!! Sad but noting showed in the tests. I find it really difficult to sit in class and I have missing out alot this semester...
Does anyone know anyway to reduce this nausea? Just so I can at least attend some of my classes:??

Ps. I have a serious phobia from throwing up!! I hope someone will answer me

I realize this post started in 10/03 or something like that so if the mods want to split it they can.
I want to .Welcome you .Katieann7 to ehealth, has the dr ever tested you for acid reflux? I am not a dr but it sounds like something else maight be going on but I know that after I had my galbladder out their were a lot of foods that did not agree with me such as acidy foods such as tomato's as in spaghetti or bar-b-que sauce or orange juice and I had to stay on a soft food diet for a while.Do you take anything for the nausea? Do you feel like you are under a lot of stress? Have you recently had the flu or anything viral? I would definitely check with your dr sso your situation does not get worse, it might be from an ulcer or a number of things. Please keep in contact and let us know what you find out as eating one meal a day is not healthy.
Good luck!
