I was wondering if you ever really do get
over having an eating disorder??I had one
in 1997 and I think I got over it by 2000
but I still have a problem not wanting to
eat. So I guess my question is do I still
have an eating disroder??

Once you got to anorexia you will always
have it you might not think you do but
your body will always have it its not like
a cold or a virus that will go away ive

Getting Over Anorexia Posted: 01-16-05 03:27am
:? I have had this #@%&*!! Anorexia
my entire adult life (since age 11). I
have been bad (hospitalized, feeding tube
etc.) and better (normal weight, eating
regularly, but still counting every
calorie eaten & exercised off). I
think you never do get over it but with
time you learn to live with it, like with
any illness. In some ways I am glad I
have this because it makes me appreciate
my good times, compared to when I was near
death. Also I know so much now about
nutrition & can't be fooled by any fad
diets or obsessed people. I do think
anorexics can recover enough to live fully
but we always have to be careful not to
relapse in times of stress.
