Could I be pregnant?
Posted: 07-28-03 13:53pm

Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I have a question regarding pregnancy. My Boyfriend and I had unprotected sex in the end of May & in the begining of June, I have always had my period at the same time of the month, well in June I started on the 18th and only for one day. which I usually start on the 24th and last one week! well I then had my period in July which started on the 14th and lasted til the 18th. My boyfriend and I had unprotected sex again on the 19th of July the day after my period stopped. Ever since then I am wondering if I am pregnant. Some symptoms: Head ache, back ache, sometimes feel like I need to throw up, and tenderness in breast. And when I get hungry I feel like I have to eat right the second or I will get sick. I don't know what to do about this and I am very worried about it. I can not sleep at night cause I am thinking about it so much! I have heard that sometimes you can kinda trick your body into thinking your pregnant if it is always on your mind. Also. if I take a home pregnancy test how soon would I be able to tell? It has been 9 days since the last time I had unprotected sex. Unless, I got pregnant in May or June. But what about the period in July? PLEASE HELP ME IF YOUCAN WITH ANY OPINONS OR SUGGESTIONS!! Confused

I suggest Lorraine that you act responsable and start using birth control. Your stress level will drop and you will get to sleep at night. Don't try and trap somebody by getting pregnant. Did you ever think of birth control, sexual transmitted diseases and other?????
Take responsability for your actions, if you can't he should.

You may be but you really will not know until you take a PG test. My advice for you is that you go to your local health department to take the test. If you are, they will help you in so many ways. When I was 23, I too was in your situation, and did not want to get tested. I finally went in (12 weeks pregnant) and I found out I was going to be a mommy. I love my son and as scared at that time but do not regret it. With the help of the health department I survived. Although it did not work out with me and the father, I am happy to say that I am now happily married (2 years). I am sorry to say though, that 10 years after the birth of my son, I have not been able to conceive. I wish I were in your position to a certain point. Good luck, take the test so that you will know and take care of your body (and if PG, take care of your body for your baby's sake). If you are not PG, use protection, not knowing is stressful and do not put yourself in this position again. Not to mention STDs!
