Regularity After Going Off the Pill
Posted: 01-12-05 17:40pm

Ok, I stopped taking my bcp towards the end of november and my period started about two days later. It was light still, but def. There. Since then, my periods are completely regular to the day, but now they're even lighter and it's mostly old blood.. Hardly any red at all. I was just wondering if this is normal or if it could be a preg. Sign, since it is regular to the day. I've taken a test and it was negative, but it's been like this for two months, so if it does it again this month, I think i'm going to get a blood test done. What are your guys' opinions?

It is probally your body, and your period. Its just getting itself regulated and it is very normal. I dont think that you are pregnant but I am no doctor. If it is to the tee every month now that is probally your period. Good luck hun....

Do you notice the brown blood when you have intercourse?

Because when I got off of b/c and my period finally came down, I had the same problem. It all just liked brown. Not red at all. It was kind of weird but I guess it was ok. Mine lasted for like 2 weekd straight at first. Then got regular. After my like 3rd reg. Period, it started to get reddish again..

Were your periods irregular before you went on the pill?

Nope...The reason why I got on the pill is because when I bled it was an enormous amount and I would lose large amounts of iron every time. Also to easy the cramping. I actually maintained the same period before and during. But after was a whole nother story...

Hey jessamyn,

i kinda thought that's what it was at first, but just the fact that I got my period two days after coming off the pill, and then it's been completely regular. We just recently started ttc, so i'm not dissapointed yet or anything, but my friend's mom said she spotted just like that when she was preg, and that's why she didn't know she was preg. Until 4 months. Maybe it will be heavier or something this month.. We'll see :)
