Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Disorder Or Both ? Posted: 01-13-05 07:13am
Hi,
in france many bpd people are wrongly
diagnosed with bipolar disorder even if
dsm criteria are very different (bpd is in
axis ii and bipolar in axis i)
in both disorders there is mood features
but for bpd, mood swing is mainly
"emotional"
Hey,
i have compared the standard diagnosis
criteria for bpd in the states then viewed
the diagnostics for bpd in europe and have
noticed a great difference in the two I
can see how a misdiagnosis could have been
possible. The european diagnosis seems
so much more vague, im glad in america we
have docters who have spent time and who
care about the right answers not always
the quickest.
