Every month I get my period, what day it starts isnt always the same. This month I should have had my period around the 2nd week in october and it never started. Ever since the time I should have started I have been cramping but nothing has started. We are now going into november. After I was a week late I took a pregnancy test and it came out negative. Was it to soon?? And do you get lower cramps when your pregnant?? Not sure what to do? Sad Confused

Hi swetter,

you can take a home pregnancy test any time after your period is due, although some tests claim to be so sensitive they can detect hcg levels 3 or 4 days before your period is due, each brand of test will state on the box how sensitive they are. It is possible to have abdominal cramps in pregnancy, but the more common early symptoms are tiredness, nausea, sore or tender breasts, sensitive nipples and frequent urination.

Good luck...
