Stomach Pains

It may be caused by gas. Because you are
laying down all night , the gas builds up.
Once you start moving around the gas
expells, and the pain lets up. Watch what
you eat before you go to bed. And slow
down on gassy foods in the evening.
I hope this helps.

If it's a sharp, tightening feeling, I
have that as well and my doctor told me it
was spastic colon. Hope that helps but I
would see your doctor again if it
continues. Good luck!

I have had the same problems for a while,
I was a night bed smoker, I had to smoke
atleast a cigarrete before sleeping, I
realized it was the reason to my morning
stomach pains because when I did not smoke
for a week I was fine every morning I woke
up. I have stopped smoking and I feel
better now.

Morning Stomach

Hi I have just stumbled across this forum
and have been having similar problems with
my stomach on a morning. Waking up with
a kinda empty hollow feeling but like my
stomach is full of wind, this happens
quite high up sort of under breast bone
where ribcage parts. When this happens I
have to get up and sometimes eat something
to get relief. It passes after 15 20
minutes of being up and mobile. I do
feel like I get a lot of gas and my
stomach always seems to be gurgling away.
Went to drs a while back and was told it
was ibs (although at the time I had other
symptoms and hadn't mentioned this). I
usually have to eat little and often to
avoid empty feeling in stomach. :?:

I'm a 33 year old male and have had hernia
problems for about 7 years now. When I
first pulled my hernia, there was no
immediate bulge and it didn't show itself
for well over a year. I immediately had
increased gas and stomach pain (which was
probably coming from my colon or
intestine). An abdominal x-ray while
you're in pain will show if you're
developing gas and sometimes a CT scan or
ultrasound of the abdomin can show a
hernia. If you're having gas problems,
try Charco-Caps homeopathic. They seem to
work the best for me. Also too, my
stomach was hurting so much at night that
I couldn't sleep. I had no idea gas pain
could hurt like that until I looked at my
own x-rays.
