Whats Going On With My Body??? Posted: 01-15-05 16:11pm
Dear board,
i am a 29 year old woman. I have been
diagnosed with osteoarthritis and
depression. I have been on medical leave
from my job since april 04 and i'm still
on leave as we speak. I have no insurance
b/c I have been out of work for so long.
I have been turned down for disability (i
have even tried those places that help get
you disability). I am in need of a breast
reduction for medical purposes only (38
d). I can't afford that either.
I am broke as a joke and I need proper
medical attention. I suffer daily with
neck pain, I have ahump in the lower part
of my neck, which causes me not to be able
to turn my head ,lean my head forward or
even lean it back. I also suffer with mid
and lower back pain. My knee on the left
leg hurts constantly as well as my left
arm.
I have this fluidy sound in my elbow, wrist
and shoulder (left arm only). I have been
pinched poked and probed!
Can anyone help me out.
Thanks,
hurts so bad

Sure sounds like you've had a hard time of
it in the last two years.
I'm not a doctor but can relate to how you
feel. I have ankylosing spondilitis and
it may be what you have. Only a rheumy
can dx you and sometimes that takes a long
time in itself. Many suffer for 5-10
years before dx. If you can get to a
rheumy through medical services which most
state offer, have him run a hlab-27 gene
test. This is only one part of the
criteria but together with your hump (i
have one too), the osteo, and joint
deteroiation, it's sounding likely.
It's not the end of the world. Cronic
yes, but certainly not fatal. With
management you learn how to maintain a
quality of life. Try kaforum.Org and see
if this looks familar to you.
Best,
