Q: Pregnancy Or Side Effect?

I have lost 5 pregnancies in the past. I had abdominal surgery done on october 15th 2004. I had a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, d&c and a biopsy of the uterus.

While my ob/gyn was doing the surgery, he found that I have a severe uterus infection causing me to lose my babies, if they even implant...
I was on medication and went back on december 29th for another uterus biopsy to see if the infection is gone. (i find out on monday)

now my question is this...
After my surgery, I had my period for a normal 5 days. My cycle that month was about 31 days long compared to my normal 26 - 27 day cycles. (that was from october to november)
then from november to december, it went back to normal. It was 27 days long. That was 17 days before my second biopsy on dec 29th.

Its now january 15th (8:45 pm here) and no sign of my period. Ive had some some very mild cramping that doesnt last long, been really dizzy and felt sick to my stomach sometimes and also had slightly tender breasts...

Tomorrow, the 16th, will be 5 weeks since my last period. Is this an effect of my surgery or the biopsy? My fiance and I have been ttc for nearly 5 years now still with empty arms. Needless to say, even though I know im late getting my period, I dont want to get my hopes up if its only a side effect.

Any ideas?
Oh, I did take a internet cheapie (ebay) hpt 2 days ago which had a very very very faint pink line...Very faint. But it is as thick as the control line. You can only see it in the light though. Havent taken any since then.

I think you should go to the store and take a hpt again. It should show up by now. And if it is neg. Then it is a side effect for the procedure. Good luck hun and keep in touch. Also you could call your doctor and get them to do a blood test

Thank you both.
I decided to use my last internet cheapie this morning because I have an appointment with my ob/gyn tomorrow. The test was completely negative. Not even a trace of a line...But the control line was lighter then normal too.
I have no idea whats going on. Its been 5 weeks since my last period today. I talked to an ob/gyn this morning that told me since I got my period after my surgery, everything should be normal and that the biopsy wouldnt cause this. (i only spotted a tiny bit when it was done.)
