Could I Be Infertile?
Posted: 10-28-03 00:47am

I am a 24 yr old female who has been engaging in sexual intercourse since the age of 17. Many of the times I engaged in sexual activity I did not use protection where the guy ejaculated inside me (i know...Stupid!) and luckily never got pregnant. I am now on the pill (have been for the past 4 years) but have been on and off and any time I have engaged in sexual activity (where my b/f ejaculates inside me) ...Even where i'm off the pill,i have never gotten pregnant! I am at the age now where I am actually thinking about my future and how I want to have children and am just a little concerned given my past experiences. I think my dad's side of the family has had problems with fertility (the women) but on the other hand my moms' side of the family reproduces like rabbits! What does anyone think of this? Do you think I have anything to worry about? I know a test from my doctor is the best bet but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this type of thing....

My mom and dad had 5 kids and my husbands dad and mom had 5 kids.We have been ttc for three years now.I was told I am ovulating but was on clomid cause im 39.He was told he had a low count and motility. And his urologist found and removed a small growth on his urethatube. Did another seman analysis and it was 80 million count.Big jump.So it is not always the women it can be both.

You have to consult your doctor to assess your fallopian tubes patency and whether you have pelvic adhesions preventing the oocyts to reach your tubes.
