Bad Signs Or What Posted: 01-18-05 13:23pm
I have very bad lower back pain and my
pelvic bone,hip bones, and just all the
bones around the private area seem to be
hurting very badly till were it hurts to
move stand or anything like that is this
normal or is it a cause for concern. I'm
20 weeks pregnant. :?:

You could call your doctors office and ask
them, but I think it is normal. It could
be the way the baby is laying right now or
postioned, or it could be ligament pain.
Oh
does it hurt when you go pee or anything
because it could be a uti or bladder
infection.. Good luck to you hun

I was feeling a lot the same the day I
went for a dr appointment at 19 weeks, and
she told me it was "round ligament pain"
and its pretty common around 20 weeks or
so. Maybe that's what you're feeling
too.

The uterus is actually "hanging" in 2
large and 2-3 smaller ligamnets.
Remember that it now is stretched way up
higher than normal, and thus all those
ligamnets start hurting as well.
And unfortunatelty, they are also attached
to everywhere else in the lower abdomen,
just about to every major bone, so they
hurt as well.
It will get better soon, though, when they
get stretched out and adapt. You are
just experiencing the growth spurt of the
pregnancy right now.
