Does Drinking Coffee Cause "pangs"/sharp Pains In Posted: 01-18-05 21:05pm
I stayed away from coffee for over 15
years. About 3 months ago, I started
drinking it again. I've noticed
occasional sharp pains in both my breasts.
Had a mammogram done; went to the Dr.;
everything's fine, thanks to god.
My gyno said I should take ~400 iu of vit.
E. I average only about 2 cups of
coffee a day! Are my symptoms common,
i.E., drinking coffee=pains in breasts?
What do you think?

Actually, yes there is a link between
caffeine and breast pains in some women.
If you ever complain to your gyno about
breast pains, the first thing he/she would
recommend is likely to cut caffeine out of
your diet. (whether it be from coffee,
soda pop, chocolate, or other.)
clinically studies are on both sides of
the fence. Some studies have proven a
direct link between caffeine and breast
pains, others are inconclusive. However,
approximately 80 percent of women with
breast pains get better with the avoidance
of caffeine in their diet.
So you can continue drinking your
coffee... Just make it decaf. :)
