Stomach( All Over Paticularly Painful On Left Side)
Posted: 01-19-05 01:14am

For the past 2 weeks I have been experiencing very very painful stomach and chest pains. I don't know what to do. I am going to see a doctor in a few days, but I am wondering if, because the pain is on my left side, I have a colon polyp , or a tumor? I don't know!

mine started last year. Left side/chest pains to the point that I couldn't sleep at night and so painful that I couldn't stand up straight. My doctor put me on an acid reflux/heartburn medication(can't remember the name) and it didn't help at all. I went for an ultrasound and an upper gi series and they found nothing. I now take pantaloc (also a heartburn medication) whenever I have the pain, usually a few times a week. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't. I still don't think that it is heartburn because it isn't in the middle of my chest and doesn't feel like burning up my esophagus. I would like to know if you found anything out.
