I was wondering if discharging everyday or
just discharging at all is normal, why
when I go to the doctors office the nurse
always ask me if I discharge...They make
it seem like discharging is not normal.
P.S.-just wondering

Discharging is normal, unless you know or
think you might have an std, or if it
smells really bad or looks really strange.
Once a month you will have a mucousy
discharge, this is the mucous that plugs
your cervix during your cycle but is
released after your period when you are
about to ovulate. Your body replenishes
it and a month later releases it again.
Someone discharge every day, some hardly
ever. Every woman is different. You
could have bacterial vaginosis, a really
common bacterial infection, or a yeast
infection, both which cause discharge, are
*not* stds and are easily treatable.
So don't be too worried. Unless you've
been really careless about your sex life.
