Hi ,
my name is Kayla and I have recently been
told I am Bipolar. It was a long hard road
but I am now an the way to a normal life.
I have been treated the last seven years
for major depression and anxiety. I have
been on almost all med. used to treat this
disorder. My trouble with these drugs was
that they would work for a time and then
one day they just didn't work any more.
My moods switch in seconds. One min. I am
Laughing histaricly. And the next I was
screaming at someone or balling because
someone looked at me wrong.
I am slowly seeing improvement and will in
time feel like a normal person again.
THERE IS HOPE!!

I am/was the same way for a couple of
years I have been being treated for
anxiety and depression but there were days
that I was like totally hyper crazy. And
then I would assume I was better and stop
taking the drugs and get all depressed
again, I hope since it is working for you
it will work for me

Hi!!! Posted: 01-23-04 19:52pm
My mother is bipolar, and she is the same
way, except for the fact that they still
haven't found the right drugs for her yet.
She's has been in a hospital 2 times over
the past year and it was very upsetting,
but she is also on the road to a very good
recovery, so hang in there.
If you ever need someone to talk to, feel
free to email tracey martin at, liz5100
284@yahoo.Com , she loves talking to
other people that have bipolar and loves
to try and give them her advice.

Bi-polar Posted: 01-25-04 20:18pm
My son was diagnosed bi-polar a year ago.
He was then hospitalized for a week. Then
on prescription drugs which made him sleep
all the time and did not feel like a whole
person. I began looking for an
alternative. I was amazed at what I found
out. It is a nutritional imbalance. I
spoke with a woman whose daughter had
gotten great results and we followed the
same. My son has been off all meds for 6
months. He is going to a local junior
college full time with a 4.0 average. He
is also working part-time. I look back
when my son started having these problems
when he was about l6. He is now 22 and I
now have the son I always wanted. There
is hope out there. I am so glad someone
cared enough to share it with me.

I'm glad you found something that is
temporarily working for your son, but
don't be fooled, bi-polar is not a
nutritional imbalance, it is a serious
medical condition. Just as if your son
had any other medical conditions, it needs
to be monitered by a health care provider.
The key is to find a psychiatrist that
is a good medical doctor as well as a good
mental health doctor with extensive
knowlegde of pharmacology (drug actions
and inter-actions).
Although, a good diet is important, so is
monitoring stressfull situations, such as
being a college student. Any college
student is under alot of pressure, the
diffference is your son's condition can be
exacerbated by the life of a college
student. They don't get enough sleep,
they drink, keep abnormal hours, cram for
finals, and don't eat at regular intervals
nor a nutritionally balanced diet. All
of these things can trigger an episode.
So even if you don't want your son on
medication, because that might make it
real, please watch him carefully for signs
of mania and depression.
And finally remember, if your son had
cancer or a heart problem, even though you
certainly would want him on a nutrionally
balanced diet, you wouldn't deny him
medical attention or medication.
Bi-polar disorder is a medical condition,
it is nothing to be ashamed of or
embarrased about any more than being
diabetic.
Good luck,
mia

I appreciate your concern but this is not
an herbal remedy. It is a "patented"
nutritional supplement in which each
ingredient synergistically works together.
A microbiologist spent over 10 years of
cell studies. It was awarded a us gov't.
"patent" on the balance and safeness. I
know there is so much out there and I
myself was skeptical. There are so many
side effects to drugs, present and long
term. At least what my son is taking has
none. I want what is best for his long
term health. If he was not doing so good
I certainly would have him on medication.
They even had a documentary on tv about
bi-polar and how balanced vitamins and
herbs have been proven to help.
